Updated Travel Guidelines as of January 7, 2022; 5PM

Fly safely and responsibly by complying with these updated travel guidelines.

A negative RT-PCR test will be required for passengers traveling to Boracay (Caticlan), Iloilo Province and Negros Occidental while an RT-PCR will be facilitated by the LGU upon arrival to Iloilo City. These are requirements for all travelers regardless of vaccination status and shall take effect on January 9 for Boracay (Caticlan) and Negros Occidental, January 10 for Iloilo Province and January 7-15 for Iloilo City.

REMINDERS TO OUR PASSENGERS

The Philippine authorities, through the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), have raised Metro Manila to “Alert Level 3” status, for the period January 3 to 15, 2022, to safeguard against Covid-19 infections.

Intrazonal and interzonal travel are still allowed; however, certain local government units (LGUs) may impose reasonable additional restrictions which can affect your travel.

For a hassle-free journey, we encourage our passengers to review the following reminders at least two days before your scheduled departure:

1. Check flight status to see if there are changes to your flight schedule.

2. Review the latest travel requirements for your destination, including Philippine domestic destinations, to check for any updates or changes; always check the website of the concerned LGU of your destination.

3. Know your options for voluntary and involuntary changes to your booking.

If your flight is not affected by cancellations or travel bans, you can make voluntary changes to your flight following the new No-Worry Flight Fare Brand. All changes shall be made within the validity period of your ticket, and applicable fees shall be assessed based on the fare conditions of the route.

Rebook within the same booking class.

If your flight is affected by cancellations or travel bans, you may:

1. Rebook to another flight

• Unlimited (No rebooking fee)

• With available space within 60 days after the original flight

• Same booking class or higher within the same cabin class

• Within the period of validity of the ticket, at no additional charge

• If you encounter issues using the Self Re-accommodation option, you may instead submit your request through the MyPAL Request Hub.

2. Convert your ticket to Travel Credits

• Equivalent to the unused net value and unused taxes of your ticket

3. Refund the cost of your tickets

• Without penalties, excluding Ticketing Service Charge (TSC).

FLY HIGH BICOL: Bicol International Airport to start domestic operations on Oct. 7!

The Bicol International Airport (BIA) will begin operations and receive commercial domestic flights starting Thursday, Oct. 7, the Department of Transportation and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines said Monday.

CAAP chief-of-staff and airport projects team head Danjun Lucas said the airport is expected to operate international flights by Nov. 7, subject to airlines’ application and intent to operate international flights.
