NEWS UPDATE: ERRATUM: There is an increase in cases of gastroenteritis in Baguio City but the Baguio General Hospital (BGH) clarifies that the City Health Services Office has not declared an outbreak yet.

The infectious department of the Baguio General Hospital (BGH) issued a health advisory regarding the possible outbreak of diarrhea in Baguio City, January 9.

The BGH has seen an increase in the number of people experiencing loose bowel movement (LBM) and acute gastroenteritis.

The public is advised to avoid drinking service water from food establishments as the water supply of the city is possibly contaminated.
