PUBLIC ADVISORY: There is a MISLEADING article circulating online about the impending landfall of a Super Typhoon named “RAMON” in northern Luzon on November 17 to 18, 2019. This is still UNCONFIRMED and UNOFFICIAL.

Based on PAGASA’s Weekly Weather Outlook from November 08 to 15, 2019, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) from the Pacific may enter the eastern boundary of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on November 12, 2019. HOWEVER, according to Northern Luzon PAGASA Regional Services Division, it is still too early to forecast the exact location of landfall and potential strength of the developing LPA.

Based on our protocols described in the Cordillera Regional Disaster Response Plan for Hydro-meteorological Hazards, we can only issue official Public Warning and Advisories as soon as we receive official reports from PAGASA. The Cordillera Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CRDRRMC) will convene tomorrow, November 11, 2019 to discuss this matter.

We remind everyone to be PROACTIVE, remain vigilant and ensure the implementation of community and family preparedness measures at all times.

As previously announced, we will be conducting the 5th National Mountain Clean-up Day on May 5, 2018.
