MT. APO NATURAL PARK NANATILING SARADO HANGGANG SA APRIL 30

KIDAPAWAN CITY – (April 1, 2024) PINALAWIG PA ang temporary closure ng Mt. Apo Natural Park hanggang April 30, 2024.

Napagkasunduan ng mga kasapi ng Mt. Apo Natural Park Protected Area Management Board Executive Committee o MANP-PAMB Execom na palawigin pa ang closure hanggang sa April 30 dala na rin ng nararanasang El Niňo sa kasalukuyan.

Ito ay ayon pa sa Tourism Office ng City Government of Kidapawan.

Ibig sabihin, ipagbabawal ang lahat ng trekking at tourism activities sa lugar hangga’t nananatiling napakainit ng panahon at tuyo ang kagubatan at damohan sa bundok.

Layon ng closure na maiwasan ang mga insidente ng bush at grassfire na posibleng mangyari sa bundok na magdadala naman ng peligro sa mga halaman at hayop na nakatira rito pati na rin sa mga komunidad na malapit at nakapaligid dito.

Inanunsyo ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources o DENR ang closure matapos mapagdesisyunan ng mga Local Chief Executives ng mga lalawigan at bayan na nakapalibot sa Mt. Apo (Kidapawan City, Magpet at Makilala sa Cotabato Province at Bansalan, Digos City, Sta Cruz at Davao City sa Davao del Sur) pati na ang iba pang kasapi at stakeholders na bumubuo ng MANP-PAMB sa kanilang pagtitipon noong March 27.

The wait is finally over – the Kasadya sa Timpupo Fruit Float Parade is back!

To those who are interested to be part of the exciting procession of creative fruit-themed floats, please take a moment to carefully read the guidelines below.

𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗦

𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗦: The following groups can participate: all barangay districts, civil society organizations, government agencies, private institutions, and businesses based in the city. In order to complete the 20 entries, the entryway must be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participants must also consider that their floats will be displayed along the national highway (DBP to PNB), so they should ensure that their floats remain intact and presentable for the duration of the exhibition.

Pre-registration is required no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, August 4, 2023. Only registered floats can participate in the parade.

𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗠𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡: "LUNTIAN KIDAPAWAN: MALINIS NA KAPALIGIRAN, GOBYERNONG MAASAHAN, DISIPLINADONG MAMAMAYAN"

Fruits should be the dominant material used in the float. Other additional decorations should be made of paper, wood, or various other natural and recyclable materials. For those who want to use a sound system, it should be incorporated into the design and should not be visible. Persons on the float are considered part of the design and must thereof be “in character” to match the chosen theme, concept, or design.

𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗔𝗧 𝗩𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗟𝗘: Pick-up style or Multi-cab drop-side vehicle.

𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗔𝗧 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗: All entries must submit their brief concept background and description of the float during the submission of their entry.

𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗟𝗬 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗔: On August 18, 2023, all float entries must be in the assembly area starting from Petron Gasoline Station to Crossing Magpet (MKWD), along the national highway, not later than 6:00 a.m. to receive instructions and line order. The parade will promptly start at exactly 7:00 a.m.

Latecomers will be disqualified from joining the parade and competition.

Each float has an assigned number, according to their time of arrival. The number placard will be given by the assigned marshal and should be displayed in front of the vehicle.

𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗔 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗝𝗨𝗗𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗚:
Each float will be judged based on the following:

Artistry 25%
(The craftsmanship in float creation)

Relevance to the theme 25%
(How well do the float design and concept adapt to the festival theme)

Uniqueness and Originality 25%
(The creativity and originality in the float concept)

Overall Impact 25%
(The overall effective and splendorous presentation of the float)

TOTAL 100%

After the Contest: All fruits that are used as designs for the Fruit Float Parade Contest will be eaten and consumed by their respective participants during the “Fruits Eat All U Can” activity.

𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗬: The City Government of Kidapawan will provide 10,000 Php as a subsidy for entry, which will be claimed at the City Administrator’s Office on or before August 11, 2023.

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿: Not following these guidelines will lead to deduction of points.
