TRAVELERS going to Davao City will no longer be required to present a negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) in compliance with the directive from the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

However, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said non-city residents who wish to enter the city are still required to register to the SafeDavao QR (DQR) code for contact tracing purposes.

Meanwhile, the mayor allayed fears on relaxing travel restrictions in Davao City as the city intensifies its community surveillance to manage the Covid-19 transmission in the city.

JUST IN: Good news, travelers - no more quarantine!

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced Saturday that pursuant to IATF Resolution No. 101, all travelers are no longer required to undergo a 14-day quarantine upon arrival unless they exhibit symptoms.

A negative RT-PCR test, however, is still required only if the LGU of the destination requires it prior to travel.

In addition, the travel authority requirement previously issued by the JTF COVID Shield, along with health certificates, are no longer required.

"Authorities shall continue to strictly implement the minimum public health standards, such as physical distancing, hand hygiene, cough etiquette, and wearing of face masks and face shields across all settings," Roque said.

This, as the national IATF has approved the uniform travel protocols for all local government units nationwide.

SWAB TEST, QUARANTINE, TRAVEL AUTHORITY AT HEALTH CERTIFICATES, HINDI NA MANDATORY PARA MAKABYAHE, AYON SA IATF!

✅ Sa ilalim ng pinakabagong Resolution ng IATF, ang COVID-19 TESTING ay hindi na mandatory para sa manlalakbay maliban kung ang LGU na pupuntahan (probinsya, munisipalidad at lungsod) ay mangangailangan ng testing bilang requirement bago ang pagbyahe. RT-PCR o swab test lang ang test na dapat tanggapin kung kakailanganin.

✅ Hindi na rin mandatory ang sumailalim QUARANTINE maliban kung siya ay magpakita ng mga sintomas sa pagdating sa LGU ng patutunguhan.

✅ Hindi na kailangang ang TRAVEL AUTHORITY mula sa Join Task Force COVID Shield o PNP.

✅ Hindi na din required ang HEALTH CERTIFICATES.
