Ginaw Bilog was born at this day January 3, 1953. Hanunoo Mangyan from Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro. He was Awarded as the Gawad Manlilikha ng Bayan, is conferred to a person or group of artists recognized by the Government of the Philippines for their contributions to the country's intangible cultural heritage. Grew up in such a cultural environment. Already steeped in the wisdom that the ambahan is a key to the understanding of the Mangyan soul, Ginaw took it upon himself to continually keep scores of ambahan poetry recorded, not only on bamboo tubes but on old, dog-eared notebooks passed on to him by friends.
Most treasured of his collection are those inherited from his father and grandfather, sources of inspiration and guidance for his creative endeavors. Through the dedication of individuals like Ginaw, the ambahan poetry and other traditional art forms from our indigenous peoples will continue to live.

A staunch protector of the UNESCO World Heritage site and a member of the elite Women Divers Hall of Fame will be one of the speakers at PHIDEX 2022! 💪

Angelique Songco has always been passionate about the underwater world. She believes that it’s the natural progression for scuba divers to know, care for, and protect the ocean.

She worked as a diving professional for years before becoming Tubbataha's Mama Ranger, Tubbataha Reefs main manager, park superintendent, environmentalist, and marine conservationist.

For all her love and genuine concern for the seas and its inhabitants, Angelique was honored as a member of the Women Divers Hall of Fame, an elite group for the most notable women leaders and innovators in the diving community, in 2020.
