CEB Refund Update
As of Sept 17, 2020

As many know, the tourism and aviation industries have been among the worst hit by COVID-19 and currently, Cebu Pacific is only able to operate 10% of its pre-COVID network.

Since the start of this pandemic, we have received an unprecedented number of refund requests due to the flight cancellations brought about by the lockdown. Our refund process then was originally not designed to handle this volume of requests, and this resulted in a backlog. We have since then revamped our procedures in order to address this.

To date, we have refunded over PHP 2.4 billion booking cancellations related to COVID-19, equivalent to 50% of refund requests received. We remain committed to our customers to complete pending refunds, and will update them once these have been processed. We are currently halfway through refund requests filed last April.

We understand how challenging this whole situation is, and we sincerely apologize for the delay. We thank our guests for their patience and understanding as we continue to enhance our processes for this to be resolved soonest.

Here’s the updated Gradual Flight Restart plan, as of June 17, 12NN.

All international flights remain cancelled until July 31, 2020. Meanwhile, domestic flights are on limited schedules. Details may be found here https://bit.ly/CEBflights_Jun19to30.

This is a developing situation. We may reduce or add flights depending on passenger demand, quarantine conditions and travel restrictions. We continue to work with national and local authorities on restarting flights.

Cancellation of Manila-General Santos-Manila flights
As of June 5, 2020; 9:30pm

Effective Saturday (June 6), the following Cebu Pacific flights are cancelled until further notice:
5J 995 Manila-General Santos
5J 996 General Santos-Manila

This is due to restrictions imposed by the local government of General Santos City.

Passengers on these cancelled flights may choose to either rebook, get a full refund or put the cost of the ticket in a Travel Fund. They can manage their bookings online via our website, http://bit.ly/CEBmanageflight.

This is a developing situation and as such, flight schedules may change. We may add or cancel flights depending on conditions in a locality.

[Updated as of 25 April 2020, 1000hrs GMT+8] Travel Advisory: AirAsia cancels flights as PH government extends enhanced community quarantine

Following the Philippine government’s directive of extending the community quarantine period in Luzon and parts of the country, AirAsia is cancelling all domestic and international Z2 flights until 15 May 2020.

All affected guests will be promptly notified via email or SMS. AirAsia strongly encourages guests to update their contact details using the “My Bookings” feature on airasia.com to ensure that they receive timely notifications.

AirAsia is making provisions for guests affected by the flight cancellations and travel restrictions following the Philippine government’s latest directive. Guests with existing flight bookings made on or before 24 April 2020 with a departure date between 23 March and 30 June 2020 will now be able to select from a range of extended flexibility options for future travel.

Eligible guests can now select from the following flexible travel options immediately, using the airline’s AI chatbot AVA on support.airasia.com or airasia.com:

1. Unlimited flight change: Change to any new travel date before 31 October 2020 on the same route for an unlimited number of times without any additional cost subject to seat availability; OR

2. Credit account: Retain the value of the flight booking in the guest’s AirAsia BIG Member account for future travel with AirAsia to be redeemed within 365 calendar days from the issuance date. The travel date of the new booking can fall on any date within the published flight schedule on airasia.com.

Due to implementation of ENHANCED COMMUNITY QUARANTINE for LUZON, all 2GO Travel Voyages from MARCH 17, 2020 to APRIL 14, 2020 are now CANCELLED for passengers.

Passengers may rebook their tickets to other available departure dates or opt to refund even after their departure date. Tickets are valid within one year from the date of issuance.

Domestic flights today (March 14, 2020)

All Cebu Pacific domestic flights to and from Manila are already fully booked today. We request affected passengers to not go to the airport or ticket offices to avail of their rebooking, refund or travel fund options, and to please manage their bookings online instead. This is for the health and safety of everyone.

We will notify affected passengers via email addresses provided to us upon booking, once their bookings can be managed online. We are in the process of completing cancellations for March 15-April 14 flights in our system.

We are working on mounting recovery options in the coming days and will announce them as soon as they are available.

In view of the recent announcements of the government regarding community quarantine imposed on the entire Metro Manila because of the COVID-19, 2GO will be making the following sailing adjustments:

TO AND FROM MANILA SAILINGS

1. For now, Voyages to and from Manila from March 15 are CANCELLED. We are monitoring government advisories on a daily basis and once clearance is provided, we will resume normal operations.

2. For March 13, 2020 sailing schedule, schedules are as follows:

Note: The government has directed that suspension of domestic travel will be reviewed on a day to day basis. We will provide updates on the sailing schedule as these become available.

As the resumption of sailings is reviewed day to day, we encourage all passengers with trips booked on cancelled sailings March 13 onwards to monitor our announcements on resumption of service and rebook tickets accordingly at any corporate ticketing outlet or where tickets were bought.

Surcharges such as rebooking fees and fare difference will be waived.

If passengers opt for refunds, please proceed to the outlets where tickets were purchased for processing.

Taal Volcano Eruption

Due to ash caused by phreatic eruption of Taal Volcano, Cebu Pacific is cancelling flights arriving to and departing from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm tonight, January 12, 2020.

Passengers booked on these cancelled flights will receive a notification through the contact details they provided upon booking. They may then manage their booking through the Cebu Pacific website, https://book.cebupacificair.com/Manage/Retrieve, with the following options:

•Rebook flights within 30 days without penalties
•Refund tickets in full
•Store the value of the ticket in a Travel Fund for future use.

Check for real-time status of Cebu Pacific and Cebgo flights through https://www.cebupacificair.com/Pages/flight-status. We will also post announcements on the Cebu Pacific website as well as our official Facebook (Facebook.com/cebupacificair) and Twitter (), as necessary.
