READ: Baguio City now requires COVID-19 test for fully vaccinated leisure and non-essential travelers from areas under Alert Level 3.
In his first Executive Order for 2022, Mayor Benjie Magalong reduced the maximum number of daily visitors through the Baguio VISITA app to 4000 from 5000. Accommodation facilities shall also limit their guests capacity to 70% occupancy.
The directive came two days after the City Tourism Office suspended the approval of new travel requests through the VISITA app due to the threat of the Omicron variant and increasing COVID-19 cases.

Due to super typhoon Odette, the majority of the road system between Puerto Princesa City and El Nido is impassable. Time needed for clearing and repair is yet to be determined.
With this, all travelers are advised to fly directly to and from El Nido via the Lio Airport.
Situations in Puerto Princesa remain unknown as power, signal, and internet are still down in the City.
