Tarangire, what a surprise! Often overshadowed by the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire is a place not to be missed. The landscape is characterized by vast stretches of savannah with acacia trees and riverine woodlands. Wildlife can be seen along the banks of the Mara River. To witness half a million migrating wildebeests crossing the river is absolutely MAGNIFICENT. We were blessed to see the river crossing twice. The land migration of thousands of Wildebeests and Buffalos was a sight to behold. Spotted again all the animals seen in Masai Mara but this time, with CHEETAHS and TARSIER.

To witness half a million migrating wildebeests crossing the river is absolutely MAGNIFICENT. We were blessed to see the river crossing twice. The land migration of thousands of Wildebeests and Buffalos was a sight to behold.

The vast open grasslands of the Masai Mara are famous throughout the world as the host of the annual migration but with high densities of both resident and transient wildlife, the Masai Mara provides unrivaled game viewing throughout the year. We spotted a number of Buffalo, Zebra, Gazelle, Elephant, Impala, Giraffe, as well as LION and LEOPARD. Hot air ballooning is a must.
