A wonderful good news come from the collective efforts by Khyber Pakhunkhaw Culture and Tourism Authority KP-CTA and Chitral Tourism Association CTA in collaboration with Pakistan Army in response to the recommendations made in ๐‚๐ก๐ข๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ฅ ๐’๐ฒ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฆ and the meeting held on 3rd Jan 2024, Home Department issued notification for free movement of tourist without prior NOC or restruction, subject to advance submission of tourist profile with Tourism Department at the entry point at Chakdara and Mustaj.
Together we make difference in a progressive promotion of Tourism in Pakistan and Internationally.

Blessed with the legends on the occasion of ๐‚๐ก๐ข๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ฅ ๐’๐ฒ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฆ held to promote the Toursim and Cultural heritage of Chitral. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and tourism authority (KPCTA), Tourism Department and Frontier Corps North jointly organized the "Chitral Tourism Symposium" to emphasize the importance of promoting cultural heritage and the tourism potential of Chitral.
Minister for tourism and information Barrister Syed Feroze Jamal Shah Kakahel, Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry and Inspector General Frontier Corps North Noor Wali Khan were the Cheif guest.
Secretary Tourism Mutahir Zaib, DG Tourism Barkatullah Marwat, GM planning and Marketing Ali Syed, GM Culture and Tourism Sajjad Hameed and Manager Events Haseena Shaukat also graced the event with the Tourism and information Minister Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel.

The symposium was attended by different stakeholders and professionals,ย  associated with the country's tourism and hospitality sector.
stalls were set up, showcasing local dresses, gem stones, Chitrali caps and other local products.

A documentary highlighting the beauty of Chitral was screened and highly appreciated by the audience.

International Mountain Day 2023, under the title โ€œRestoring mountain ecosystemsโ€ is a chance to increase awareness about the relevance of mountain ecosystems and call for nature-based solutions, best practices and investments that build resilience, reduce vulnerability and increase the ability of mountains to adapt to daily threats and extreme climatic events.
Mountains are natural jewels we should treasure.They are home to 15% of the world's population and host about half of the world's biodiversity hotspots. They provide freshwater for everyday life to half of humanity, helping to sustain argiculture and supply clean energy and medicines.
Unfortunately, mountains are under threat fromย climate changeย ,overexploitation and contamination, increasing the risk s for the people and the planet. Here are some of my photos on Nanaga Parbat.
1953 Germanโ€“Austrian Nanga Parbat expedition Hermann Buhl succeeded in making the first ascent of Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest mountain in the world. He reached the top onย 3 July 1953ย and this was and remains the only time an 8,000-metre summit was first reached by someone climbing alone.
An unmistakable feature of the region is massive Nanga Parbat, 8125m high and rising by 7mm every year, faster than almost any other part of the Himalaya chain.

This solstice festival is the biggest festival of the year and the very important for the Kalasha, with visiting, feasting and night dancing for around 14 days starting on 8th December. During this time the demi-god Balomain is believed to pass through the valley collecting prayers to take back to the creator, Dezau. In Bumburate itโ€™s closed to the Muslims for 3 days from 17 to 20 December. Foreigners expecting to take part must arrive early to be ritually purified (menstruating women are forbidden from participating) and may need to buy their own goat for sacrifice.
