Kohsar Tourism Club - KTC presents Summer toward Kalash Valley to visit Chillam Joshi Festival 2024

Chilam Joshi Festival is a religious festival celebrated by the Kalash people, living in the Chitral District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. The festival starts on 13 May.
Chilam Joshi festival is held in three Kalash valleys, Bumburet, Birir, and Rumbur where Kalash girls and boys dance to the tune of traditional drum beats. Chilam Joshi celebrations highlight their cultural richness, the plethora of colors and the underlying message of peace.
Kalash Festival is one of the most unique and taboo for many in Pakistan and elsewhere on earth. Kalasha tribe celebrates many festivals around the year. The three main Kalash Festivals are Chilam Joshi (spring festival), Choimus (winter festival) and Uchal (summer festival).
Religion: The majority of the people in the district Chitral are Sunni-Muslims where as there are a lot of Shias as well. However the People of kalash and various tribes of it are thought to believe in various gods and believe in very old rituals and religions.
