Two American climbers- Gina Marie and Anna Gutu , who were in a tough race to be the first American woman to scale all 14 eight-thousanders, were on their final push on Shishapangma today were hit by the avalanche, where Anna is found dead along with her guide Mingmar Sherpa while Gina is missing together with her Guide Tenjen Lama.

Both Gina and Anna completed 13/14 eight-thousanders with only remaining Shisapangma to have achieved that feat.

Missing guide Tenjen (Lama) Sherpa is the record-holding Nepali climber who recently completed 14 eight-thousanders in just 92 days along with Kristin Harila, surpassing Nirmal Purja's previous record of 189 days.

Young mountaineer Sirbaz Khan is all set to make history as the first Pakistani to conquer all 14 of the world's 8,000-meter peaks.

He has initiated his summit assault, commencing from camp 1, to scale the 14th highest mountain, Shishapangma (8,027 m) in Tibet.

Mission Summit 14: Young mountaineer from Gilgit-Baltistan Sirbaz Khan becomes the first Pakistani to summit 13×8000m peaks by scaling the Cho Oyu (8,188 m) peak in Tibet.

Cho Oyu is the sixth-highest mountain in the world at 8,188 metres above sea level.

Sirbaz has also become the first and only Pakistani to summit 10 peaks without using supplementary oxygen.

Naila Kiani has successfully reached the 8163-meter peak of Mount Manaslu in Nepal. We are proud of her who is strong and brave. Congratulations.

It is noteworthy that Naila completed her acclimatisation rotation and then joined Sirbaz and Shehroze at the Manaslu base camp. As the first and only Pakistani woman to summit nine peaks rising beyond 8,000 metres in elevation, Kiani is a trailblazer. Her ultimate objective is to climb all 14 of these massive peaks and become the first Pakistani woman to do it.

In addition to being a skilled mountaineer, Naila Kiani is a Pakistani banker living in Dubai, an amateur boxer, and a loving mother of two girls. She originally became well-known in 2018 after a social media user saw her wedding photo session at K2 Basecamp. She has already scaled some of the world's highest peaks, such as Broad Peak (8,047m), Annapurna (8,091m), K2 (8,611m), Lhotse (8,516m), Gasherbrum 1 (8,068m), Gasherbrum II (8,035m), Nanga Parbat (8,125m), and Mount Everest (8,849m), demonstrating her extraordinary mountaineering abilities.

Here we are on the southeastern ridge of Everest below the south summit. @angshimalayanadventures , main guide in our team, is seen here fighting the wind and laying down when the wind tore at us on the ridge on our way down from Everest summit. There was a lot going on during our trip to the top of Everest. We faced more adversity than we could have imagined, but in spite of that, with incredible cohesion and positivity, we managed to overcome each obstacle and encourage each other to complete the mission. It's really amazing that only few days from all the mental and physical challenges we had to go through I’m already begin to think returning back to this magnificent surounding of the Himalayas.
