Shangrila Lake, is a lake located near the city of Skardu in Gilgit−Baltistan, Pakistan. Situated at a height of 2,500 metres (8,200 ft).
Shangrila was established in 1983 with the opening of the first resort hotel in Skardu. The Shangrila Resort Hotel was founded by Muhammad Aslam Khan Afridi, a Pakistani military officer who served as the first commander of the Northern Scouts of the Pakistan Army.
Shangrila was named after Shangri-La, an idyllic Himalayan paradise described in the 1933 novel Lost Horizon by British writer James Hilton.

.@teammalisadpara K-2 Bottleneck situated at 8250-8350m; the most iconic, risky and technical part of the Savage Mountain. The blue ice beneath, the hanging seracs above and the thinning air in between; only a son can bear these while retrieving body of his father.
