Karakoram Highway has been opened for traffic after three blockades were cleared, said SP Diamer, Capt. (r) Sardar Muhammad Shehryar Khan.

Information shared by official sources had yesterday said that the road clearing operation could take 2 to 3 days.

However, overnight efforts were made to remove the landslide debris, opening the road in one day.

صوبائی سیکریٹری تعمیرات عامہ کی خصوصی ہدایات پر استور کے مختلف علاقوں کو جانے والے سڑکوں سے برف ہٹانے کا کام جاری ہے۔

محمکہ تعمیرات عامہ استور ڈویژن نے آج صوبائی سیکریٹری تعمیرات عامہ سبطین احمد کے احکامات کی پیروی کرتے ہوئے کے استور کے بالائی علاقے چیلم ،
داسخریم ،گدائی، بوبند سمیت ملحقہ علاقوں کی رابطہ سڑکوں بند راستوں سے برف ہٹانے اور ٹریفک کے لئے بحال کرنے میں مصروف ہے۔

حالیہ برفباری کے بعد ان علاقوں کی رابطہ سڑکیں عارضی طور پر بند ہوئی تھی جس کے بعد محکمہ تعمیرات عامہ استور کی ٹیموں نے ان سڑکوں کو ٹریفک کے لیے چیلم تک بحال کردیا ہے ۔

اگر ذیادہ برفباری کی وجہ سے کسی علاقے کے راستے بند ہیں یا ٹریفک کے لئے مشکلات درپیش ہیں تو مہربانی کرکے محمکہ تعمیرات عامہ کع اطلاع دیں تاکہ راستوں کی بحالی کا کام شروع کیا جاسکے۔

A two-year-old from Scotland has become the youngest person to reach Mount Everest base camp.

Carter Dallas climbed to the south side of Nepal, reaching an altitude of 17,598 feet above sea level, carried on his father Ross' back, with his mother Jade walking alongside. The family is on a year-long trip around Asia, and Carter is believed to have broken the previous world record held by a four-year-old from the Czech Republic.

Despite some altitude sickness for the parents, Carter coped well, and his blood test results were better than theirs, according to his father.

Pakistan third alternate CPEC Route to cut down 350 Km distance to China border.Federal Govt has released 45 million for Gorikot Astore- Shagharthing Sakardu Road project via Azad Kashmir.It will be new Tourism Corridor.'The new route, after crossing the border at Yarkand China, will connect GB's Shigar, Skardu and Astor districts to Muzaffarabad'

National Highway Authority (NHA) is working for Construction Shounter - Rattu (12.7km long) road tunnel. The length of road corridors from (Kel to Shounter) and (Shounter to Gorikot) are about 26.9km and 41.5km respectively. It will traverse adjacent to town of Kel, Lower Domel, Dhakki Nakka, Khora, Chitta katha, Upper Domel, and Chattian, Shounter in Neelum AJ&K area and Morcha Guzair, Mirmalik, Rattu, Nasirabad, Chugam, Rehmanpur and Gorikot in Astore GB area. The project site is approximate 65km away from Astore. The Route via Neelum Valley to Astore Valley.
