LagosMMFest’24 is set to bring a vibrant mix of pop, rock, funk, soul, and jazz to the seaside town from August 15 to 18.

This week, Praia da Luz will be the heart of modern music with the third edition of Lagos MMFEST’24. The festival, returning for its third year, is expected to energize the region from August 15 to 18.

Situated in the picturesque village of Luz, this annual event provides a stage for up-and-coming bands, celebrating a wide array of musical styles against a stunning coastal backdrop. Spectators can expect to be immersed in genres ranging from pop and rock to funk, soul, and jazz.

Featuring a lineup of both local and national artists, the festival—hosted by Orquestra Ligeira de Lagos—will showcase performances by Svetlana Bakushina, Orquestra Ligeira de Lagos, Maximiliano Llanos Quintet, Marta Lima, BILOBA, LANA GASPARØTTI, and Plasticine.

Organizers promise an electrifying atmosphere “where music serves as a bridge connecting people of all ages and backgrounds.” Performances will begin at 19:00, perfectly timed with the sunset to create a unique fusion of music and nature.

Villa Waterside was the highlight of our visit to Portugal. The communication and information was outstanding.
Would highly recommend staying here and enjoying the view, comfort and location of this house. Walking to restaurants was awesome. Especially enjoyed ZaZu (the gin basil smash was amazing!), Boaty’s for breakfast (açaí bowl was perfect!) and fortaleza de luz for dinner (what a beautiful venue and sunset view!). Villa Waterside was a perfect fit for our group! We loved the location being so close to the beach, with great choices in restaurants and bars nearby. We never had a problem finding a parking spot on the streets, and the grocery store is a short walk away for everything you might need. The villa itself was spotless and comfortable, and we were very grateful for the nice washing machine and quiet neighborhood. I was especially impressed with Miguel's virtual guidebook that has extremely clear and helpful information. He was always responsive to my questions and even helped me arrange massages with a very nice lady that came to the villa. We would definitely stay at Villa Waterside again!

Just came back from an excellent visit at Bombordo Restaurant in Burgau. A small but exquisite dining place in the center of Burgau (only 6 minutes from Villa Waterside). The service is very friendly, the ambiente reminds of a French café with delightful background music. The dishes are nicely presented and delicious. Highly recommendable👌🏼. One of the most incredible abilities of sea stars is their power of regeneration. Imagine this: if a sea star happens to lose one of its arms, it has the astounding capability to regrow that very same appendage, as long as a part of the central disc remains attached. It's like nature's own magic trick! Though it may take around a year for them to reach their full size again, the fact that they can restore what was lost is simply awe-inspiring.
