and design services. produces and distributes under URB and KRS brands a full range of bearings products including: Radial Ball Bearings, Cylindrical Roller Bearings, Spherical Roller Bearings, Thrust Ball Bearings, Thrust Cylindrical Roller Bearings, all well-known for their precision and reliability. All bearings are produced in accordance with the standards of International Organization of Standardization (ISO) and DIN standards. Using our know-how accumulate over 53 years of experience and our wide and in depth knowledge of customer’s product and applications, we develop and supply special bearings to satisfy their specific needs. By working in cooperation with our customers we aim to achieve their satisfaction and to contribute to their global success. The Company supplies Original Equipment Manufacturers and the replacement markets for industrial and automotive segments. Our products are used in a broad range of application including: automobiles, railways, electric motors, pumps, construction machinery, agricultural implements and many other engineering applications. Since 1956, RULMENTI S.A. has been aggressively developing its overseas markets and now out of our production 80 % are sales all over Europe America, Asia and Africa. We are close to our customers through our distributors network in more than 40 countries, e.g. Germany, Italy, Belgium, France, Turkey, Spain, USA, Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, U.A.E. Today RULMENTI S.A. employs 3100 peoples, has a turnover of 30.961 million USD in 2002 and an annual year production capacity of 30.80 million pcs. bearings. The Quality Management System is certified according with the international norms EN ISO 9001/2000 the industry’s globally accepted quality.
1951 - Barlad Factory was founded. The planned production capacity was of 250.000 Pcs./year.
1951-1953 - Construction and equipping of the first production capacity of 1.000.000 Pcs./year was realized.
1953 - The first bearing was produced. Barlad Factory started production of four ball bearing types.
1954 -1965- First capacity increase in Barlad was realized. (Production capacity 2.500.000 . Pcs. / year).
1956 - Beginning of export activity
1959 - Assimilation of technology for railway bearings production
1973 -The forging technology from Hatebur and Wagner Germany was applied successfully
1974 - Establishing of Deep Groove Ball Bearings Factory under KOYO license; production capacity 30.000.000. Pcs. / year)
1975 - New production capacity for Special Machine – Tools fabrication (for bearings) was put into operation
1975-1982 - Modernization of Turning and Grinding Workshop.
1985-1992 -Technical endowment of various plants.
1995 - Quality System Certification according to ISO 9001 / 1994, by TNO Certification Body from Netherlands.
1992-1996 - Continuous modernization of different machinery and equipment
1996-1998 - Improving of Ball Bearings Technology (KOYO license)
2000 Finalization of Privatization process and acquisition of majority shares by KOMBASSAN – TURKEY.
2001 - Registering of KRS own brand. Certification of Radial Ball Bearings, KRS brand, according to the TS 6269 Standard requirements by TURKISH STANDARDIZATION INSTITUTE.
2006 - Founding Anadolu Rulman Factory in Turkey
2007 - New acquisition of MGM Factory in Hungary
2012 - Starting to build the India Factory
2013 - The 60th years anniversary existence of URB Brand.
