Topis are most active in the morning and evening, resting in shade through the hot hours. Like ruminants, they feed for a while, then rest and chew their cuds before they continue feeding. They have several rest breaks during the day and the rhythm of their daily activities is influenced by the food supply-the coarser and drier the feed, the longer rest time needed for digestion.

Klipspringers are small, sturdy african antelopes which have a coat made up with coarse hair. Their name derived from two Afrikaans words. Klip for "rock" and springer for "leaper". Which means "rock leaper". The hooves are cylindrical and downward pointed, thus giving them a tiptoe walking freely on the rocks.

Did you know?

Klipspringers can jump as high as eight metres. They can easily leap over the world’s tallest mammal on earth today, the giraffe.

Cheetah cubs have a long, silvery strip of fur called a mantle that runs all the way down their back like a mohawk haircut. This fur may help shield them from bad weather and camouflage them as they hide in the grass so predators don't see them.
