Warning: Your NAATI CCL Letter Could Jeopardize Your Australian Visa Application!
If you're applying for an Australian visa under the General Skilled Migration program and claiming points for the Credentialed Community Language (CCL) qualification, there may be an important issue to consider regarding the NAATI letter format.
According to Australia's immigration regulations, you must hold a "qualification" in a particular language, awarded or accredited by NAATI, to claim CCL points. However, NAATI’s CCL letters typically confirm that you've passed an exam, but don’t explicitly state that you’ve been awarded or accredited with a qualification. This small difference in wording could have big consequences.
Another issue is the validity period. If passing the exam is considered the qualification, then the validity period should begin from the exam date—not from when the confirmation letter is issued. This is crucial if you’ve passed the exam before receiving an invitation to apply for your visa but are waiting for the confirmation letter from NAATI.
For visa applicants, this could create confusion or even impact eligibility. If you're in this situation, it might be worth seeking professional advice to avoid any issues with your visa application.
Stay informed and check your documents carefully!
