Ndoniyamanzi Luhlanga raises the Eswatini flag high in Prague 🇸🇿🇨🇿

Ballet Dancer Ndoniyamanzi Luhlanga (11) left the country to compete in the finals of the in Prague. The finals took place at the Prague Congress Centre in the Czech Republic.

The dance competition comprised of 37 judges from all over the world who will grace the judging panel at the Dance World Cup finals. This week, 9 500 dancers from around the world will descend on Prague for the biggest dance competition in the world.

Luhlanga successfully made history by being the first LiSwati to qualify for the finals and compete in the Dance World Cup finals. She successfully made it through to the finals at the Dance World Cup qualifiers, which were held in South Africa's Centurion, Pretoria, in April.

Luhlanga started ballet at Talent ‘n’ Motion - Academy in 2017 at age four and has won gold at numerous dance competitions, including a win at the South African Ballet Competition.

ETA and Eswatini Tourism industry attend Spotlight Travel Expo

Yesterday the ETA, joined by the Eswatini tourism industry, took part in the Spotlight Travel Expo held in Radisson Blu in Mozambique. This expo presented an opportunity for attendants to meet and engage with travel agents, corporate and other tourism buyers.

The expo was graced by the presence of High Commissioners to Mozambique and Qatar, Mlondi Dlamini and Felizwe Dlamini respectively. Siyabonga kakhulu for the unwavering support bo Nkhosi, akwandze 🙏🏽

ETA and Eswatini Tour Operators Familiarisation Tour in Mbombela

This past weekend, ETA was invited to partake in a Familiarisation Trip to Mbombela alongside tour guide/ operators. The rationale behind this trip was for the visiting Team to explore, learn and share what Mpumalanga and Khayalami Hotel Mbombela had to offer.

This collaboration holds promise for both Eswatini and Mpumalanga's tourism sectors. By working together, tour operators in Eswatini can design new packages incorporating Mpumalanga's attractions and Khayalami Hotels' accommodations. This ultimately benefits tourists by creating more extensive and enriching itineraries across the Triland region.

ETA staff take part in Emvembili Eco Lodge Hike

Yesterday morning, ETA staff members braved the chilly morning weather and embarked on a hike at Emvembili, located at the north of Eswatini. This adventure, hosted by Emvembili Eco Lodge, set the Team for a sight of lush greenery, learnings, breathtaking views of Mantjinga Falls and much- needed exercise!

Nestled in the heart of northern Eswatini, Emvembili Eco Lodge is a shining example of collaborative conservation and community empowerment. Established in 2006 by a local community with the support of the Eswatini Environment Authority, UNDP Eswatini, Eswatini National Trust Commission and All Out Africa the lodge embodies sustainable practices and cultural connection.

While the vision for the lodge began in 2006, the journey to welcoming guests unfolded later. Construction of the eco-friendly self-catering cottages and camping sites commenced in 2019 and was completed in 2020.

Today, Emvembili Eco Lodge offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Eswatini's natural beauty while directly supporting the local community.

Do take a visit at Emvembili Eco Lodge for that much-needed refreshing breath of fresh air and brush with nature.

ETA hosts Strategy Engagement Workshop

Yesterday morning, ETA hosted a strategy engagement workshop aimed at strengthening Eswatini’s tourism sector, tourism diversification, facets of tourism and its ability to drive positive and sustainable change.

The workshop, held at The Royal Villas Eswatini, saw the attendance Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Affairs officials, Parliament House of Assembly and Senate Tourism Portfolio Committee members, government ministries officials, tour operators, Hotaes and other key stakeholders.

ETA expresses its appreciation to our stakeholders present on the workshop, the support is truly appreciated. As we work together, we hope to ensure that Eswatini becomes a leading tourist destination. A destination that offers an unforgettable and enriching experience for all visitors, while also fostering sustainable development for our nation.

We have our new Tour Guides!

Congratulations to the 41 amazing graduates of the Hotaes Tour Guide Course! The course, on its 29th year offering, saw eleven participants from South Africa and the remainder were all from Eswatini. This is tangible evidence of the interest in Eswatini Tourism offerings. Ten of the Eswatini participants were sponsored by the International Trade Centre through the funding of the European Union in Eswatini.

The Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Affairs representative, Dr. Fortunate Tshabalala applauded tour guides for their genuine interest in showcasing Eswatini to the rest of the world. Dr Tshabalala handed over the certificates with the assistance of ETA CEO, Mr. Vusie Dlamini. The certificate handing ceremony was held at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary on Thursday evening.

ETA lauds the new tour guides for the hard work and dedication, and we are thrilled to welcome you to the world of tourism! Get ready to share your passion and knowledge with visitors and create unforgettable experiences.
