Süleymaniye Mosque is a mosque built by Mimar Sinan in Istanbul between 1551 and 1557 in the name of Suleiman the Magnificent. Süleymaniye Mosque, which is described as the work of Mimar Sinan's journeyman period, was built as a part of the Süleymaniye Complex, consisting of madrasas, library, hospital, primary school, bath, soup kitchen, cemetery and shops. ̇stanbul
