Hi everyone 👋
I will talk about some rules about the new tourism law that villa owners and tourists visiting our region should know.
What villa owners need to know;
1- If you want to rent your villa for short-term daily/weekly tourism purposes, you must first obtain a tourism rental permit.
2- First of all, your villa must have a building registration certificate and title deed at the municipality. If your villa is an illegal building, you will not be able to obtain a permit in any way.
3- The villa owner can obtain a permit from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism through a class A TURSAB certified travel agency.
4-If you want to manage your villa yourself, you must upload documents such as title deed, building registration certificate obtained from the municipality, zoning status certificate of your villa, identity card, tax identification number, UETS code (electronic notification address) to the system. All documents must be complete.
5- If you are not a Turkish citizen, do not worry because you will be able to manage your villa yourself even if you are not a Turkish citizen. If your documents are complete, you can apply by giving power of attorney to a Turkish citizen.
6- There must be one fire extinguisher of at least 6 kilograms in your villa. There should be a fire sensor (battery operated) in all rooms and corridors except the toilet and bathroom.There should be signs on the room doors to indicate the direction of the emergency exit.
After the application is made;
1- If your application is not accepted, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will contact you and inform you why it was rejected. If you complete the deficiency, you can re-apply.
2- If your application is accepted, personnel from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism will come to inspect your villa. The staff will check the villa and if everything is OK, they will put a plaque on the door of the villa. There will be a QR code, your phone number, and the words "Under inspection by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism" on the plaque.
3- You have completed all the procedures and finally, with your permission, you must go to the gendarmerie station and have your villa added to the identification system. Remember, if you do not enter the identity information of your guests staying in your villa into the system, you will face a huge penalty.
If you operate a villa without permission, you will face huge penalties. If you ask me, numbers don't matter. What you need to know is that the penalty amounts are very high. For example, your villa is for 6 people and you accepted 7 people. You will be punished even for 1 person.
