Yungdrung Tharpaling寺，現今被稱為Lamayuru喇嘛優魯寺，是拉達克最古老的寺院。位於距拉達克的首府列城西方約127公里處，釋迦牟尼佛時代是一座大湖。是Naga(聖蛇)的家。
湖的東面是一個小山，當地稱為Skambur。據說，阿羅漢Madhyantika，當他來到此湖，以水供養聖蛇，他用木杖製造一條裂縫，湖泊的水便自地上漏出。他預言，在未來，佛經和密續的教導會在這個地方蓬勃發展。

此後，大成就者那洛巴（1016-1100年）從占斯卡至此。他在此處一個山洞裡進行嚴格的閉關，把那裡變成一個神聖的地方。這個洞穴仍然存在，保存完好並形成喇嘛優魯寺的正殿的一部分。
