South African truckers rescue 3 week old orphaned baby Elephant

Abandoned by her herd, a 3 week old baby elephant was found just in time by South African truckers on their way to Botswana.

The baby Elephant was found by Carlos Santos, Johan Groenewald and Pieter Roussow while en route to Nata in Botswana.

Nata is a village located in the northern part of the ‘Central District of Botswana’, around 900km from Johannesburg.

The truckers from ‘Afriag South Africa’ were on their way to deliver cargo when they were forced to stop around 100km away from their destination, where a bridge had washed away due to the heavy rains.

The little elephant saw the truckers and popped out of the bushes, seeking help.

The truckers cautiously approach the little baby but quickly realized that she needed hydration and care.

They gave the little one water and spent time searching for the herd but unfortunately found nothing in the area and made a call to contact the nearest animal sanctuary.

Once the bridge was fixed, the drivers loaded their new passenger in the truck and made their way to the Botswana Elephant Sanctuary to deliver the precious cargo.

Beautiful work...

Samburu men risking their lives in Crock infested river to save baby giraffe after it got stuck for more than four hours in the middle of the River Nyiro in Kenya. Fortunately the Crocks would have been less likely to attack in the fast flowing river.

This is a perfect example that humans are capable of the most heartwarming acts of kindness towards animals.
For every person willing to do harm to an animal, there’s a large group of people ready and willing to save them!
