Day 6 Kilimanjaro Expedition Update

Our CDC team has officially begun their final ascent to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro! After a brief rest at Barafu Camp (15,300 feet), they set off into the freezing darkness, where temperatures are as low as -20°C. Battling through steep, rocky terrain and thin air, the team’s determination and resilience are being tested like never before.

Their goal? Uhuru Peak (19,341 feet)—the highest point in Africa. They’re expected to reach the summit just in time for a breathtaking sunrise, marking the culmination of their hard work and perseverance.

Please continue to keep them in your thoughts as they tackle this final challenge and inch closer to the summit. Stay tuned for the next update!
