DAY 1 :KIA - ARUSHA.
At Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) on arrival in Tanzania you will meet with one of our company representative who will welcome you and transfer you from the airport to Arusha town. You will spend the night in this busy tourist town, where you will get short briefing from our representative at hotel and leave you to relax for while, in evening you will get dinner and overnight stay at Venus Premier Hotel or another hotel of the same category.

DAY 2: ARUSHA – ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK.
After breakfast in morning at hotel you will meet our professional driver guide who will give you short safari briefing then drive way to Arusha National Park as Arusha national Park has three most significant features include the rugged Mount Meru (Tanzania’s second highest peak with 4566m), Momela Lakes, and the 3km wide Ngurudoto Crater, which was formed about fifteen million years ago. You will do walking safari, game drive and get enjoyed beautiful giraffe, baboons also bird watching until evening and driving back to Hotel in Arusha city of day one.

DAY 3: ARUSHA - TARANGIRE NP.
After your breakfast and picnic lunch you will start drive from Arusha city to Tarangire National park which takes 2 hours, then you will enjoy morning game viewing in Tarangire National Park as Tarangire is a beautiful park filled with Baobabs and Acacias with a large variety of game such as zebras, elephants, giraffes, and water buck. After game drive you will get dinner and overnight stay at Octagon Lodge or similar.

DAY 4 : TARANGIRE NP- LAKE MANYARA NP.
After breakfast in morning and your picnic lunch will drive way to Lake Manyara for game drive. Lake Manyara National park, the park has more than 400 species and which are famous for availability of climbing lions tree and flamingos on the lake. After game drive you will drive to campsite for dinner and overnight stay at Octagon Lodge or similar.

DAY 5: LAKE MANYARA NP - LAKE EYASI.
Breakfast at morning hours and drive to Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe people, a reclusive tribe of bushmen who live as they did 10, 000 years ago. The Hadzabe are among the last hunter-gatherers of Africa. You will be fascinated by their clicking language and hunting techniques. You will have a nature walking tour around the Hadzabe community and participate in hunting with them or to watch/ dance their traditional songs. While your dinner and overnight stay at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge or similar.

DAY 6: LAKE EYASI - SERENGETI NP.
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park Onaway pass to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, it takes 3 to 5hours by drive ride. Serengeti Tanzania’s most famous and largest national park and one of the most spectacular parks in the world. The “endless plains” cover some 14,763 square kilometers including large plains, short grass plains, kopjes, and lakes Game viewing en-route, Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Wilderness Tented Camp or similar.

DAY 7: SERENGETI NP.
This day after breakfast morning, we will take your packed lunch for a full day game drives in the wilderness tracking the Great migration trails. Thorough explanation about this great world event that Tanzania proud of will be provided. And in the evening as the sun goes down, drive back for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Wilderness Camp or similar.

DAY 8: SERENGETI NP - NGORONGORO CRATER.
After breakfast you will continue your tour of the Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro. On the way you will pass the Olduvai Gorge which became world known due to the archeological work of the English research couple Leaky. In the sixties here they found the oldest remains of prehistoric man and in a small museum nearby their work is documented (a visit is optional). As soon as the crater’s edge is reached you will have a superb view into the crater. In the evening you will get dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Ang'ata Tented Camp or similar.

DAY 9: NGORONGORO CRATER - KARATU.
After breakfast and your picnic lunch then you will descend into the Crater floor to do a full day game drive which is famous for spotting all the AFRICAN BIG FIVE Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera, others are Zebra, Hippo,Wildebeest, Hyena and more Birds includes flamingos on the Soda lake, Geese, Storks and Vultures. In the late afternoon hours you will get drive to Mto wa Mbu you will get dinner and overnight stay at Octagon Lodge or similar.

DAY 10: KARATU - MAASAI VILLAGE TOUR - ARUSHA.
After your breakfast in the morning you will get drive to masai village you will learn the culture of masai people like their dressing style, cooking style, dancing style, and the whole history of masai people. After your trip you will get drive back to Arusha you will get overnight stay at at Venus Premier Hotel or similar.

DAY 11: ARUSHA - CHEMKA HOT SPRING TOUR - MOSHI.
After your breakfast you will get drive to Chemka hot spring Travelers to Tanzania usually base in Arusha or Moshi in between hiking trips and safaris. While recovering from multi-day tours and hiking trips one of the best things to do is a day trip to the Chemka Hot Springs, also known as the Kikuletwa Hot Springs. Just 1.5 hours from Arusha and nearby Moshi Town, this is one of the hidden gems of Tanzania that you need to visit. The water was crystal clear in this jungle oasis where you can relax all day and even enjoy rope swings, tire tubing, and some high jumps out of the trees. After this tour you will get dinner and overnight stay at Kilele Lodge or another hotel of the same category.

DAY 12: MOSHI – MATERUNI WATERFALLS – DEPARTURE.
After your breakfast you will get drive to Materuni waterfalls a tour to Materuni Village and Waterfalls is a great way to spend a day away from the bustle of town life. The walk to Materuni Waterfall offers a glimpse into the nature of Tanzania allowing you either to prepare your body for the forthcoming climb to Kilimanjaro or ease your muscles after the climb. The tour starts with a walk to Materuni Waterfall. It is an opportunity to see how local fruit like avocados, mangos, lemons, and bananas grow, as well as learn some of the local history, traditions, village economy, agricultural and cultural life. When you get to the waterfall, you can refresh yourself in the natural pool, so swimsuits will come in handy. The tour will continue with a visit to the local village lying in the coffee plantations. The villagers will demonstrate the process of coffee farming and guide you through the preparation of coffee from a bean to a cup. Sing and dance along with the Chaga people as they are grinding, roasting and boiling the beans. When the coffee is ready, villagers will serve lunch - a national Chagga meal then you will get drive to catch flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Day 2: Game drives in Ruaha National Park

ABOUT UDZUNGWA MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK
This is part of the Eastern arc mountain range and most of the activities involves climbing/trekking. There are different routes available for trekking but the tourist route is the Sanje waterfalls which is about 4 hours up and down. Udzungwa is one of thirty four World Biodiversity hotspots. Expect to see Primates. Udzungwa have 11 primates species whereby 2 of these are found no where in the world, these are Sanje Mangabey (Cercocebus sanjei) and Iringa Red Colobus (Procobus gordonorum). Also you may have the opportunity to see habituated Sanje Mangabeys, different endemic plant species, birds, reptiles and Amphibians, Butterflies, waterfalls, etc.

ABOUT MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK
Activities in this closest National Park from Dar involves wildlife viewing safaris, camping safaris, walking safaris and night safaris. In Mikumi National Park expect to see animals such as Lions, Buffalos, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebras, Impalas, Warthogs, elephants, hippos, more than 300 bird species and various plant species.

DAY 1:
PICK UP, TRANSFER AND TREKKING IN UDZUNGWA

Early morning of this day you will be picked up at your residence in Dar Es Salaam at around 05:30 hours and start your drive to Udzungwa National Park. This drive takes you via Chalinze, Morogoro town, Mikumi National Park, Mikumi Town and then through a 20km rough road to Udzungwa. Once you arrive at the park you will be registered, entry fees paid and then start climbing preferably at Sanje route to be able to see the 4 stages waterfalls. After taking your lunch boxes at the top you will have an opportunity to have a swim under the waterfalls, it is a cold swim. After the swim you will start to ascend (the trekking takes about 4 hours up and down depending on your climbing pace). When you come down you will be taken to Mikumi National Park for dinner and overnight stay within or outside the park (will depend on the choice of accommodation to be used).

DAY 2: GAME DRIVE AND TRANSFER BACK TO DAR ES SALAAM

The park is open for drive from as early as 06:30 hours. So in this morning you will go for sunrise game drive from 06:30 hours and will come back for breakfast at 08:30 hours. After breakfast will continue with game drive within the park, game drive will take you into different parts of the park searching for wild animals. You will have lunch break around 13:00 till 14:00 hours at Mikumi Wildlife Camp whereby you have the opportunity to have lunch while viewing different wild animals as they roam the water holes nearby the camp. After lunch break you will continue with game drive covering other areas of the park till around 15:30 hours and that will be the end of full day game drive.

You will start to drive back to Dar at 15:30 hours (earlier or later depends on the time you need to be in Dar, this will be agreed before hand). When you get to Dar you will be transferred to the place of choice be it hotel, ferry or airport and that will be the end of your 2 days trip with Francisco African Adventures T - Ltd Safari Company.

Mikumi National Park is the fourth-largest national park, with a landscape of baobabs, black hardwood trees and grassy plains, and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam. With almost guaranteed year-round wildlife sightings, Mikumi makes an ideal safari destination for those without much time. Within its 3230 sq km – set between the Uluguru Mountains to the northeast, the Rubeho Mountains to the northwest and the Lumango Mountains to the southeast – Mikumi hosts buffaloes, wildebeest, giraffes, elephants, lions, zebras, leopards, crocodiles and endangered wild dogs, and chances are high that you’ll see a respectable sampling of these within a short time of entering the park.

Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

Pick you at the hotel in Dar – Es – Salaam or airport at 6:00 am and travel 283 km to Mikumi National Park with lunch at the restaurant in Morogoro. After lunch proceeds with a drive to the Park for evening game drive in the park.
