Victoria Falls Bungee Jumping is 111 meters off the Victoria Falls Bridge. it has to be one of the most challenging, terrifying, crazy things to do.
Some say it's the best Bungee in the world...it's not the highest, that honor goes to Macau Tower in China which is an incredible 233m. Maybe it is because of the backdrop of the Victoria Falls or maybe just the fact that you are free falling down towards the mighty Zambezi. Whatever it is, it is a massive adrenaline rush!!
Even famous people such as Ewan McGregor and Will Smith have taken the plunge.

Todays journey was of jolts and jerks.,
As we hit the road early morning. Had no idea the road was rough and bumpy.
After 13hrs of drive, we finally got to a town(Nyakanazi). Told the driver i could do it anymore, got my bags out and walked away in search for a guest house.
whenever i don't get a place to camp, someone to host me, my budget for a lodge is not above 10k tz shillings.
As i searched around, got one tiny self contained however, people here are economical.they sew everything from bedsheets to mosquito net. cant really tell how many holes has the mosquito net survived
"Fragile Ryle survived the bumpy journey safe and loud...

Lake Ngozi is never without miracles..
Its a mountain top/crater lake that is located in Rungwe district of Tanzania. The lake itself is situated inside a volcanic caldera and is also the second largest crater lake in Africa

Along the walls of the caldera is a rainforest, which is kept evergreen by the large amounts of rainfall that the caldera receives. A few parts of the caldera walls lay bare due to landslides. It one of the nice places to visit in mbeya.

A boda boda is ideal for riding over rough terrain, i later realized dude had only one gum boot and upon asking, he narrated nasty story about witchcraft around his community however he had to work to make ends meet.
cutting story shot, was looking forward to spend a night in a jungle but Unfortunately the camping area was all submerged in water due to heavy rains. With the company of my tour guide. we trekked across some of the most inhospitable terrain but it was worth. it offers different bird species, huge trees and monkey, it should one of those place to visit..

Hitchhiking involves a lot of walking, up to multiple kilometers a day. You should feel good walking with your backpack. If carrying your backpack feels too heavy, your trip will probably be miserable.

Therefore, you should be as minimalist as possible. You are gonna have to make some tough choices about what to bring with you. It did not stop me from carrying a few of my gym equipments however, you’ll definitely enjoy carrying less weight, as it will give you more flexibility.

Hitchhiking requires to be flexible, and I believe your backpack should reflect your flexibility. if at all you cant run with your bag for a half kilometer then you're carrying a lot. Just adapt to the situation and don’t think too far ahead.

Question?
What to pack for a hitchhiking trip?

Hitchhikers always survive on strangers and below is how it all went few days back.

It so happened that I got a free fare from Songea to Ujombe. Micheal was driving a Mobile clinic for TB patients from Songea to Mbeya. When he learnt that I’m a travelling on budget, he suggest we spend a night at his family home in Ujombe and then proceed to Mbeya the next morning.

His family home is a 63km off Ujombe town . so we parking around town hospital then waited on for village shuttle that surfaced at round 6pm. clad in my long grey pants, i jumped on it and it took us 4 hrs to reach Lupembe. The shuttle had chicken, breastfeeding mothers, drunkards et al. At some point someone removed shoes and the entire van smelt like shiiiit. A few of us complained and I guess the person wore shoes again.

Reaching his home, the wife was ecstatic seeing the hubby😅 She gave me a cup on water in a tiny house and immediately started wondering where was I gonna sleep. Couldn’t lay my tent outside coz it had rained the entire day. Had a simple dinner and the lights were off. Guys I didn’t sleep the entire night. However I thank God I made it through the night of coldness..

Next morning we went to the farm and the yields were promising. Coming back home we found out that the only village shuttle had left us. You have idea how I panicked however I never wanted anyone to notice my fears and discomfort. We decided to get a motorbike back to town at 35k Tz shillings. Imagine a 63km distance on a rough road on a sanke bike😛😿😿😿

Day 8...

As I traversed through the streets of the mighty songea town today morning in search of chapati soup, I marveled at the green lush, huge canopy trees and mountains.

Was previllaged to visit the ex Maji Maji tombs and a total number of 61 people were hunged on a broad-day light. However it kept me wondering whether my history teacher did me "justice". I'm likely to go back and claim my tuition fee.

Songea took its name after one of the chief who was killed following the rebellion.
it's a great place to visit if you like warm weather, safari excursions and vibrant cultural festivals. Not far from Lake Nyasa, the city is a gateway to some of Africa's best wildlife-watching country and offers a warm welcome to everyone who visits.

Trekked for 4 hrs while waiting on the next transportation. Today's sun was scotchie- like hell though I tried using sun screen but all in vain.

Along the way while trekking, I spotted some wild guavas in a middle of no where. Put my bags down and went straight away. Got some while staring at birds singing and chanting.

As my butt had started sweating repeatedly, i saw a convoy of cars, showed my hitchhiking signals, stopped and I jumped on it. Dude was so nice and he introduced himself as .

it was a sign of relief after I had trekked for many hours.
He shared with me some snacks and a bottle of water.Long live Shaban.

Arise and shine:

I started hitching on Thursday on behalf of to create awareness on sustanable tourism to all regions in Tanzania.
As I approached one of the churches that evening in kibiiti for accomodation[just wanted a space to lay my camping tent].The church authority instead decided to involve police. Being a public holiday, the OCID wasn’t in his office and I was taken to his home,a one kilometer distance away from town. Reached was interrogated, he called his 2 other police colleagues. Asked questions here and there, checked all my belongings not sparing the little bag that had only 3 packets of CONDOMS. However, as frightened I was, thought the next thing was to be locked up in police cell. Was instead taken to the guesthouse, fully paid for with a king size bed. Sadly they didn't provide me a Queen so I ended up occupying the king bed by myself...

Stay tuned more adventures are yet to come.
