Before that together with his 10 colleagues he started and registered a non-governmental organization; The Rose & Candle Society (RCS), dealing with talents among youths and children since 2007. In 2009 he started a small art academy in Kilimanjaro as a strategy to achieve organization goals where a number of youth and disadvantaged groups have been trained and most of them became permanently employed to TanPictures Universal Studios & Company Limited to date. TanPictures Universal is a limited company by shares between Samuel and Mr. Gilbert Herman-co-founder and Executive Director at SoftNet Technologies Company of Tanzania. They are jointly responsible for the executive management of the firm. Gilbert supervises the finance and sales marketing functions, while Samuel is in charge of administration, product development, projects and production. However TanPictures organizes other projects and venture in relation to talents and youth developments such as;
TanPictures Film Music Society (TAFIMU Society) and TAFIMU Saccos an institution organized and registered as a company limited by guarantee, bestowed under TanPictures Universal Studios & Company Limited as well as the public representation both of the United Republic of Tanzania, with a purpose of identifying, recognizing, promote, enhance and support film, music and entertainment industries as whole by harness creativity and multiply opportunities for available known and unknown talents, potentials and stakeholders both professionally and sustainably so as to work more productively and excel in carriers more effectively and efficiently. Kilimanjaro Walk of Fame which shall consists of 5 pointed terrazzo stars as a permanent monuments to achievements in the entertainment industry bearing the names of Actors, Musicians, Film Makers, Stakeholders and Corporate entities. This permanent walk of fame site shall be built in Kilimanjaro region based on Mt. Kilimanjaro tourism factor. It shall be a popular tourist destination in future. Trice Foundation which shall serve as promoting body for up-coming artists (for both film makers & musicians). It is funded through premier events such as Project Quality summit dinner. Project Quality is an annual festival designed by a series of entertainment packages including; adventures, trade shows and fun games heavily concentrated in a period of months. We intend to expand festival dominance from cities concentration into the national wealth of attractions, which is why we have chosen the northern tourism circuit of Kilimanjaro and Arusha regions to be primarily venue and host to the main events. The festival will engage through raffles, public advertisement, and promotional giveaway events. The festival shall in general promote art, tourism and culture their mission towards international standards. Quality Film Awards an accolade bestowed by TUS&Co.Ltd as an awarding event to recognize excellence of professionals in the film industry, including directors, actors, and writers. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by prominent artists, and some of the awards of more popular interest will be presented in a widely viewed televised ceremony. This will play an important role of motivating local production firms and individuals to higher achievements and quality standards. TanPromoters a department that serve as promotional body for upcoming and known artists both in film and music industries by coordinating them with appropriate managerial service, publicists services and legal advice in matter concerning rights and legal practices. TUS&Co.Ltd also put more emphasis on education and awareness and because of that we running an academy for training and educating individuals and professionals in the area of art and multimedia production. The name of this institution is now TanTheatre Academy of which before was known as Mt. Kilimanjaro Institute of Art.
