A new study by Bounce has named Zanzibar the second-best island getaway destination in 2024, beating other high-profile destinations such as Mallorca, Ibiza, and Sardinia.

The study shows that Zanzibar is only beaten to the top spot by Phuket, Thailand, with a variety of reasons informing the ranking, from beer prices to the number of beaches.

In Africa, apart from Zanzibar, the only other island featured in the Top 10 is another Indian Ocean getaway - Mauritius.

Some of the factors that make Zanzibar stand out are its average temperature of 28ยฐC in February, rainfall of up to 401 mm in April, warmest average sea temperature of 30ยฐC in March, and the number of beaches that one can visit.

โ€œOften thought of as just one big tropical island, Zanzibar is a large cluster of over 40 islands. You can explore every island, many of which are virtually untouched by tourists, each full of culture, history, and shining white-sand beaches,โ€ reads the study.

Compared to other destinations, hotel prices in Zanzibar remain low at an average of $160 per night, yet islands such as Bali, Indonesia, command an average price of $1,870 per night.

Nakupenda sandbank in Zanzibar is a full day trip, departs in stone town near serena hotel at around 9:00am.. and we shall sail you away to prison island (changuu island) where the gaint tortoises found relaxing on the beach shrubs, after the snorkeling tour around the island we ahead to a sandbank where brilliant birdlife exists. Lunch (sea foods and drinks), relax on the sandbank, swim and listening to the birdlife around you and the skippers daughters lapping against the shore.

In this tour you will discover alot of things. Tourists must come with you the towels and swimming suits, although we are giving out snorkeling gears and even life jackets on request, we shall slowly start to sail back to Stone Town after soaking up the sun, and return back to the Serena Inn by 03:30pm,

This tour starts from 9:00am and ends at 3:30pm.. the trip will be on a private traditional dhow.. the sandbank picninc is great for the group tourists, couples, families and inviduals.
