Here are some tour activities to do while in Jinja ¹:

- Whitewater Rafting: One of the top things to do in Uganda and Jinja town, the Grade 5 Whitewater rafting experience in Jinja is the best in Africa.

- Jet Boating: This experience is similar to white water rafting but with a difference. Instead of using the balloon rafts, you conquer the rapids using a high speed boat moving at speeds of up to 90 kilometers per hour.

- Bungee jumping: This is one of the craziest activities you will ever do in your life. It involves jumping from a tower (44 meters high) and down towards the Nile waters with a rope tied to the ankles.

- Golfing: The Big Game Mini-Golf course in Jinja is intriguing. It was constructed with large statues of the big five (leopard, buffaloes, lion, buffalo, elephant and rhino) and other creatures.

- Visiting the source of the Nile: Using a speed boat, tourists can go to the point where the river begins its journey to the sea.

- Visiting the monument of Mahatma Gandhi: Gandhi is considered to be one of the greatest and most charismatic leaders of the 20th century. He is also considered to be the father of the nation of India and is remembered for the great role he played during India’s transformation into a democratic nation.

- Visit the rural village: A tour of Jinja and Uganda in general is incomplete without a close encounter with the local people.

- Quad Biking: Go for a Quad biking adventure through the forests, villages, farms and the banks of the river Nile.

- Horseback Riding: Though not as intense as white water rafting or Bungee jumping, Horseback riding is a great way to experience the Nile River and the countryside

- Kayaking and Canoeing: These are just some of the numerous activities that can be done on the river Nile.

- Mountain Biking: Like horseback riding and Quad biking, Mountain Biking in Jinja is organized to allow visitors explore the river Nile and nearby villages.

- Visiting Mabira Forest: Mabira forest is the largest natural lowland tropical forest in central Uganda. It’s about 2 hours drive from Kampala past.

- Launch Cruise along the River Nile*: The construction of a Dam at the former Bujagali Falls formed the Bujagali Lake that is perfect for boat cruises.

- *Bird Watching*: Uganda is known as a one best places for birding in the world – Jinja and the particularly the Nile river are no exception.

- *Fishing on the Nile*: Jinja has some of the best fishing spots in Uganda and in the Nile Perch; the River Nile has one of the largest freshwater fishes on earth.

- *Visiting the Ssezibwa Falls*: The Ssezibwa Falls are located along the Kampala – Jinja highway.

- *Tubing the Nile*: This is another of those amazing adrenaline raising activities that makes Jinja such a great place to visit.

THINGS TO DO IN BUSOGA

1. Flat & White Water Tubing
👉🏽 forget about this ease of using sitting i calm water tubing, we are talking about the adrenaline rush u get wen u roll through the Nile Rapids, bounce like a boss and swing through the waves. this will cost you between 70k -100k. Note: Go for the tubing company with the Best Photography then you will love yo experience more

2. Water Massage
👉🏽 most of u come to Busowoko or Makwanzi falls to just look at the falls as if yo explorers, drop the whitish character and elevate the "Omuntu" in you. With yo tight shorts or bikini, enter the roaring water and be massaged thorough until u feel like yeah............."Ntuuse" this is wat must bring you to the water falls not just looking how water sails to Egypt.

3. Quad Biking
👉🏽 We have two spots that do quad biking in Jinja. One is Terrain Adventures and the Other is Tongolo Beach. However i will recommend All Terrain Adventures in this case if u need the Safari Type of Adventure through the villages of bujagaali and experience that escape to the wildcats of Uganda. Drive Like A Pro-kind of adventure

4. Bungee Jumping
👉🏽 One at Adrift River Club (100 meters High) and the other at Bungee Uganda(44 meters high). You obviously need to try Both. One you get to kiss the Nile and the other you get to Smooch The Roaring falls of Kalagala. Both will cost you 200k

5. White Water Rafting
👉🏽 this is not for men and women who dont know their strength within them. Its for A man who will stand and declare that he is One and a woman who will raise her chest and say ......."Excuse Me!! Nze Ndi Mukazi" If you dont have confidence in you i will beg, dont try it. You will ku wululu for us instead. And make sure you have the company with The best Photography for the epic experience.

6. Kagulu Rock Climbing
👉🏽 The hill rises at approximately 3,600 ft above sea level with great 360 degree views around it. You and your family need this experience. Free entrance though you will need to pay your Guide even if he or she never asks for the money.

7. Bukaleba Pen*sular
👉🏽 Located in Mayuge, Bukaleba peninsular is found in Bukatube (Namugongo beach/village). It’s a former Government Buffalo referral farm. It has wild animals such as, leopards, antelopes and its a bird sanctuary, breeding area for crocodiles, natural vegetation ever green. It has a direct view of the deepest part of lake Victoria locally called “Kanwa Musayi”

8. Buswikira Shrine
👉🏽 Located also in Mayuge, Mpungwe Sub-county these shrines are believed to have been the birth palce of the First Muganda Man - Kintu, with this rich history, I recommend Families and schools to take a visit

9. Luuba Thurston Tower:
👉🏽 Luuba was the chief of Bunha Chiefdom where the current Inhebantu of Busoga (Her Royal Majesty Jovia Mutesi Nadiope) Hails from!! and Thurston was a Missionary Commander who came to stop the activities of slave trade in Bukaleba. The tower was reconstructed by the Uganda Museum and Monument department, Ministry of Tourism, Wild life and Antiquities. This tower was built in memory of Thurston who was killed by the black people who were gaining from slave trade activities yet he was stopping slavery and the flag pole to direct landing ships to collect slaves was raised at this very point always.

10. Bujagaali Cave
👉🏽 The cave has 2 major hollow entrances, one at the bottom and the other slightly above it. However, due to the increase in the water levels along the dam, the lower entry is submerged making the top one more ideal. Before it was flooded off, the lower entry was wide enough to accommodate structures the size of lorry trucks and other vehicles. The walls at the entrance of the cave are surrounded by Sodium Carbonate (salty rock). This is said to be used in bettering the skin once mixed with water and applied to the face. The cave gets darker and narrower as one proceeds, and crawling might be resorted to as one goes deeper inside.

Busowoko Falls, Jinja, Uganda 🇺🇬.

Busowoko Falls is one of the last waterfalls remaining on the upper Victoria Nile. The others have disappeared under it’s backed up waters.
Busowoko Falls is located downstream on River Nile, some 19kms from Jinja City in Bususwa / Bukongo village just after Namavundu Forest. It’s located off the rugged Kimaka- Budondo-Kibibi road. It’s notable for its scenery and magic water massage.

The Wanale Ridge Water Falls is a spectacular waterfall where water cascades over 6864 feet, 2092 meters down the sheer cliff rock wall onto the valley. Wanale Ridge is located about 6 kilometers from Mable town in Eastern Uganda.
Experience an exotic hike, from the moment you start, your ascent, the views are spectacular. The shades of green are endless. The ground boast of fertile soils and the vegetation flourishes in response. Wanale falls gives a whole new appreciation for those undiscovered and non advertised spectacular parts of Uganda and specifically Mbale.

After a taste of your resilience with a ridge of 6864 feet climb, reward your self with a visit to the little known and less visited Zoo in Mbale - Mbale Cap Wildlife Education Center and feed your eyes with the presence of Rock Python and crocodiles,primates like colobus monkeys,Red tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys, Egyptian geese, Crested crane, camels etc.
