🦍 The Wildlife Divas travel to Uganda Documentary.
Representation matters. This book was written to encourage at-risk girls of color into STEM fields of education and careers in order to break cycles of generational poverty, while simultaneously saving the critically endangered mountain gorilla, where in real life there are only 1063 souls left on the entire planet, they face dangers of becoming extinct.
This children’s book has gained international attention from the Ugandan government. On July 30, 2022, in the city of Kampala, a book launch hosted by the Uganda Wildlife Authority, will take place.
Along with this path of unexpected success, our team decided this story must be told. With a film crew, we will document our trek into the rainforest to see these magnificent beasts that share 98.4% of our same DNA, with our own eyes, taking the same path as the story is told about these brave young black girls, The Wildlife Divas Adventure Team, Saving the Endangered Mountain Gorilla.

🦍 A highlight of our Client trip to Uganda occurred within the first few minutes of reaching the Mountain Gorillas we had been trekking all morning when the team got a very intimate glimpse of Mubwindi, an adult female holding and breastfeeding her 3-week old baby, Kwetegyeka in the Ruhija Sector of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest of Uganda. Mountain Gorillas are still very much endangered and need all the help and support they can get.

🦍 The male hot spring is called Bitende which covers 12 meters wide while Nyasimbi which is the name of the female hot spring is small measuring 2 meters in diameter.
These are unique features of nature where the hot water comes from underground. Locals with tourists make experimental by taking their bananas, eggs, and other things to roast or boil in the water.
Though the water can burn the locals use several mechanics to make themselves very safe from the hot springs as they boil their foodstuff. The boiling water is at the temperature of 100 degrees Celsius making food staff ready in every short period of time.
