The elder's tree - An acacia tree that was given this name because the elders come together to meet under these trees. On the many hot & sunny days in Karamoja, this is the coolest place to be.
We spent our day at an honoring ceremony for elders in Nawaikorot village, Ngoleriet - Napak. Traditionally, men and women sit far from each other, while both enjoy local beer from the yellow jerrycans.
