Hello, I am waswa Alex, an experienced tour guide at Mandrill African safaris. This is to extend my experience about the Zebras in Uganda.

Zebras in uganda can be found in Lake Mburo National park in western uganda and Kidepo valley national park in North eastern uganda. They are exceptional mammals known for their black and white stripes that make them look beautiful. They have distinctive mane that runs from the head to the tail, a mature zebra weighs between 300 to 450 kilograms and males are heavier than females.
Zebras are social animals that live in herds of about 1000 individuals and herds are led by fearce and strong males that offer protection, they protect themselves by gathering together in a mass herd to outnumber the predator and chase them away.
The female zebra will be pregnant for 10 months or slightly more than that and gives birth to a foel at a time. The young will be breastfed for 11-14 months though they begin to eat grass at a period of 1 week.
Zebras closely relate with some other animals such as the wildebeest, impalas, giraffes and baboons.

Hello am natukunda winnie a safari guide at mandrill African safaris with an experience of 3years am here to extend my knowledge about hippopotamus also known as hippos to my clients . Hippos are large mostly herbivorous semiaquatic mammals . They have a life span of 40-50years ,gestation period of 243days and have a speed of 48km/hr . Adult hippos weigh 1500-1800kgs.males measure around 3.5m and 1.5m tall weigh 3200kg.In Uganda hippos are found in Queen Elizabeth national park, murchison falls national park, lake mburo national park and Toro - semuliki wildlife reserve.
