Sustainable Tourism is the future and we are trying as much as possible to be part of that important movement.
During a visit at Bugoma Jungle Lodge with .uganda our director planted a tree in an area which is supposed to become a buffer zone in between Bugoma Forest and the communities. That buffer zone protects the forest and also the wildlife within.
For every booking we receive, two trees will be planted per traveler. They have the choice to let us plant them on their behalf or actively plant them in a project 2e have iniated as ESTOA in cooperation with KAFRED in the Bigodi Wetlands.
The "One traveler - one tree - one forest" initiative shall promote responsible travel. It is not much of an effort for every traveler to plant only one tree, but if everyone does that a major change is created. Every forest we create in a protected area, offer shelter and home for species. Additionally, that forest equalizes at least a piece of the carbon footprint travelers leave behind.
