Very sad news from the . Snyggve, the most famous , has died. He was killed today morning in a fight with three younger males.

Snyggve who was also known as Bob Jr. by many guides, was a long term ruler of the Namiri Plains together with his coalition partner and brother Tryggve. He was the son of the legendary male C-Boy and a dominant male for approximately 7 years.

At the advanced age of 12 years this unique male lion has now died fighting, a honorable death among . We pay our respect and say goodbye to what was probably the best looking lion of the entire Serengeti.

Happy new week! Here is the first image by our field team of Uganda’s newest addition in the Ruhija sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Adult female Mugwere of the Mukiza gorilla family gave birth to a healthy baby yesterday. The group now has 28 individuals.

New month = New gorilla baby 🦍

JUST IN: Congratulations to adult female, Nyabukye of the Rushegura mountain gorilla family who just gave birth to the family's 13th member this afternoon in the Buhoma sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

This is the first image of the baby and mom by our team in the wild. This newest birth now raises the number of individuals in the Rushegura family and is a testament to the concerted efforts to conserve this great species.
