The perfect way to welcome a new week? By welcoming the newest addition to the Mishaya mountain gorilla family of Bwindi National Park. ✨

Rotary brought her second baby into the world earlier this month, bringing the total number of mountain gorillas in the family to 10 individuals. Rotary has a history of crossing over to the Bweza gorilla family, but with her newest addition, it seems she's firmly settled in the Mishaya group.

This was my first trip to Africa and after this experience with Great Expeditions, it won’t be my last trip with them. The travel planner listened to everything I wanted to accomplish (which was a blend of animals and local culture), and it greatly exceeded my expectations. Great expeditions really went out of their way to make everything memorable. What really put me at ease was my instant connection with the tour owner, Kalema, and her driver Robert. They were thoughtful, knowledgeable, punctual, reliable and kind. For anyone who has driven in urban areas of Uganda, you can understand how chaotic traffic can be. Great Expeditions driver, Robert, made us feel safe and secure, which made our trip very relaxed.
