Adding these lights to Spaceship Earth is the single best thing that came from the 50th anniversary. I will not be debating that statement.
I love that they regularly change out these shows. This Wish version was from back in November. I finally got to watch it now that it's on Disney Plus, so I figured maybe it was time that I posted this!

I genuinely don't know why I didn't get more footage of the room - but this is what I ended up with 🤦♀️. I think it still gives you a bit of an idea about what the rooms look like.
These were fairly spacious staterooms with a ton of storage (which you don't always find on a cruise ship)! The room was a little tight once we added a pack n play, but for 2 people, this is a great space!

Let's take a quick walk through the Maharaja Jungle Trek at Animal Kingdom!
This is another animal filled walking trail and it features the gorgeous (but elusive) tigers! This was a cooler day, and so this particular tiger was happy to be outside.
There's also a lot more birds on this trail, but I'm terrified of them, so I tend to run right through that part 🙃.

Here's my honest review: I don't love this one. I think overall there's too much narration, some confusing song choices (two songs from Toy Story in an Epcot show????), and it's a little too slow. I think the ending is fantastic and I love the nod to Illuminations when Spaceship Earth is lit up like a globe, but everything before that was just kind of meh to me. I didn't love Harmonious either, but I think that was at least a more exciting and interesting show.
One positive about Luminous - it genuinely can be watched anywhere from around World Showcase and you don't need to be right up on the rails to have a good view. IMO, the best spot to watch from is Japan for a good view of Spaceship Earth (that's where this was shot from).

This area of Animal Kingdom is such a hidden gem! The Discovery Island Trails are nearly always quiet and empty. It's a perfect spot when you need a break from the crowds, or, if like me, you end up nap trapped in Animal Kingdom!
Bonus, there's a few animals hidden around the trails like tortoises, kangaroos, and lemurs!

True Story: we walked into Festival of the Lion King and were sent to the front row instead of near the back where they were seating other people at the time. I have no idea if it's because my in-laws had First Visit buttons, or because I had my toddler with me, or if we were randomly lucky, but it was definitely a great experience having a completely unobstructed view!
