We had so much fun on our jam-packed day 1. Here is a recap:
We landed at Sanford airport at 10:15 where Lev from Orlando Magical Rides was waiting for us at baggage claim. The airport was so small and easy…we LOVED that! The drive from their airport to Hilton Buena Vista Palace was around 45-50 minutes. We checked in but our room wasn’t ready…no biggie! We left all of our luggage with bell services and headed out!

We weren’t in a hurry so we walked (5 minutes) to Disney Springs and then to their bus station. We thought there would be buses to take us to the parks but they only went to the resorts. We decided to take the bus to the Riviera Resort since we had never been there and then take the skyliner to Hollywood Studios! It was a great way to see a lot of Disney World even before setting foot in a park!

Once we got to Hollywood Studios we ate a quick lunch at Backlot Express and then started the rides. We did purchase the lighting lane multi pass and single pass for our day. Here is what we accomplished:
Lightning Lane Rockin Roller Coaster
Standby line (20 minutes) for Tower of Terror
Standby line (25 minutes) for Toy Story Mania
Lightning Lane Star Tours
Then we took the Skyliner to EPCOT!
Boys got their favorite Disney snacks!
Lightning Lane for Soarin’
Single Pass Lightning Lane for Guardians of the Galaxy
Lightning Lane Nemo
Standby line (walk on) Figment
Dinner at Space 220! This was our highlight!
After dinner, EPCOT was closing so we walked out the back exit of to the Beach Club Resort and got a Lyft from that lobby to bring us to our hotel (much less busy to do this)!
We got to our room with an amazing view of Disney Springs and we were DONE!
Ready for our adventures today!

‼️WE HEAR YOUR FRUSTRATIONS WITH HIGH PRICING!! 😩 💸✈️

🆘We have gotten a lot of requests to price out trips followed by disappointment. We get it. We get frustrated too! As I’m sure you know, prices on everything have gone up- flights/vacations have as well! 👎🏻

💲Unfortunately, we don’t make the prices and have no control to change them for you. What we book is what you see on Funjet, Apple Vacations, Expedia, etc...

💻🙌🏻We CAN however; search different airports, resorts and suppliers to find you the best pricing out there. We can also find promotional offers and get you group discounts if applicable!

📊 Lots of factors play into pricing but here are some example budgets:

✅ 5 Nights, All-Inclusive with Flights

🌴Mexico and Dominican $1600/pp minimum
🌴Jamaica $1900/pp minimum
🌴Costa Rica $2000/pp minimum
🌴Bahamas (very few All-inclusives) $2000/pp
🌴Turks and Caicos $3000+/pp

🦃🐇🎅🏻HOLIDAY travel will be more! 🤯

⁉️What can you do: be flexible on dates, airports, number of nights, consider a cruise that you can drive to the port and book early!

🏚️Also keep in mind you get what you pay for! Some resorts may run significantly less but there’s usually a reason for that and something we can help you navigate!

⬇️☀️Review of our stay in Jamaica! 🇯🇲

✈️🌴We recently returned from Secrets Wild Orchid/Secrets St. James in Montego Bay and wanted to provide a detailed review. We traveled with a group of 19 adults for a 50th birthday party and of course we all had our own personal tastes, expectations, thoughts and opinions but everyone had a GREAT time on this vacation and truly enjoyed the resort. Secrets Wild Orchid, Secrets St. James and Breathless are all on the same property. With Preferred status you have access to all three. Without you still have access to both Secrets.

Club Mobay: This is a VIP service provided at the airport. We were fortunate that when we arrived to the airport in Montego Bay, we were the only plane arriving and it was not busy at all! We had others in our group that arrived when it was busy and probably saved them at least an hour by having it! They greet you with a sign when you get off the plane, es**rt you through customs and bring you to a lounge with all-inclusive drinks and snacks until your transfer is ready! On the way home, you go through a priority line and then enjoy drinks and food in the Club Mobay lounge until you need to board your plane! WE LOVED IT- definitely worth the cost.

Check in: The lobby did not provide a wow factor for us- it was a bit dark, hot and small. We had all reserved preferred club rooms on the Secrets Wild Orchid side, some with swim out rooms and some with ocean view balcony rooms. When we arrived to the resort; however, they were doing some unplanned renovations to some of the Wild Orchid preferred rooms so some of our group were placed in St. James preferred club rooms. We were disappointed that we couldn’t all be in the same building/location and the rooms at Secrets Wild Orchid had a view of the mountains but in general, the rooms were identical. Wild Orchid was closer to restaurants but still a short couple minutes walk from St. James. After speaking with the manager it was decided the group that was placed in St. James would get a refund for the difference in price.

Rooms: The rooms/buildings were a little dated but very clean and nice! All preferred club rooms had a soaking tub on the balcony which was nice – especially with the amazing views! The views and location are what truly make this resort beautiful – from the pools, to the crystal clear Caribbean and then mountain/hillside in the background – it was one of the most beautiful places we have been.

Pools/Beach: There are pools for everyone! There are swim up bars, fun pools with entertainment and quiet pools where you can relax and have alone time! The Preferred Club pools were quiet while the Secrets Wild Orchid pool and St. James pool had more activities and music! Our group had so much fun playing volleyball in the pool. Whatever you are in the mood for – you can get! The beach was small but beautiful – the water was crystal clear and many in our group enjoyed some snorkeling.

Butler Service: Butlers technically only come with swim up room category and above but with the room issues they gave us butlers for the group. We found that some of us used our butlers more than others and some butlers were much more attentive than others! We loved how they set out coolers of beer and water and reserved chairs by the beach- even neatly wrapping chairs with towels for us. They also helped us with all of our dining reservations. Some in our group didn’t use them as much as we probably should have. Some had their room decorated for a special occasion by their butler. Betty was so attentive and went above and beyond!

Preferred Access: We all were preferred club so we had access to preferred club lounges and pools. Preferred beach area on Wild Orchid side was definitely the nicest area. One thing we noticed was that no one checked or seem to know if you were preferred club or not! No idea if anyone could have just walked in and gotten the premium drinks at the lounge or used the pools. One thing that was completely worth it was that preferred club had access to Breathless Resort across the street. This resort had an AMAZING rooftop pool and restaurant, and we LOVED the day we spent there. Breathtaking views, great atmosphere and good food. You did need a special card to get up there which the butlers or front desk will provide.

Food: We’d say food was probably a 7-8 for an all-inclusive. Some restaurants and items were better than others but there were definitely lots to choose from!

We ate at the Hibachi/Asian restaurant, Bordeaux (French), Portafino (Italian) and Blue Mountain (Jamaican) and all had good meals. Did we like everything? No – but there were definitely good options on all menus!

The buffet was the only option at breakfast and we missed having another sit down breakfast option (especially for Preferred Club as is at other Dreams/Secrets) but you could also do room service!

Overall, the buffet was our least favorite as it was often busy, hot and depending on the time, sometimes picked over.
Lots of great lunch options between Barefoot Grill, Oceana and Seaside Grill! The jerk chicken was SO good!

Room service was hit or miss lol. Some things were good, some weren’t. Sometimes the same exact thing was great one time and not as great the next time – but having the option 24 hours a day was awesome!

Entertainment: Our group LOVED the nightly entertainment options! Great bands/music, shows, etc. Piano bar was the heart of it all and where we spent most of our evenings. Tons of stuff to do!

Staff: This is where the resort really shined! EVERYONE we encountered was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating! Always wanted to make sure we were happy and enjoying ourselves. Kerri Ann was one of our favorites- she was so much fun she worked hard to make sure our group had drinks and water all day.

All in all, we would 100% go back. We felt completely safe. The people are amazing, friendly, and the resort was absolutely beautiful
