As as a traveler who has experienced flight delays and cancellations, and as a travel advisor assisting clients who experience flight delays and cancellations- the Airline Customer Service Dashboard is a critical tool in understanding your rights as an airline customer. Although the protections are not as robust as the European policy, it gives US passengers a starting point when controllable delays and cancellations occur. I would check out your favorite airline to see what they’ve committed to do in the event of a delay or cancellation. Happy Travels!

Sooo, my travel converses were bright white at the start of our trip, but after a day of traipsing around the Pyramids of Giza and Sakkara, they are a dusty sand color. The question is: 1) do I wash away the dust of a dream trek or, 2) leave them less than pristine as a reminder of our adventure… 🤔

As a kid, the Pyramids were (for me) a wild fantasy from a storybook. In reality, you really need the services of a storyteller to appreciate the history. We do a lot of DIY travel, but for the story of the Pyramids, you really need a guide. For Day 2 of our journey to Egypt, we treated ourselves to the AirFrance lounge. From our initial booking, our flight itinerary was changed 4-5 times due to flight cancellations. This happened prior to covid, but happens much more frequently now because of staffing issues on various routes. Bottom line: things are NOT back to 2018/2019 standards of travel- so be Kind…be Patient.
