Imagineering the Disney Wish: Construction Updates from Germany

Wheelhouse Installation
The wheelhouse, also known as “the bridge,” is an incredibly important part of any ship. The captain and officers command the entire ship from this location.
The wheelhouse for the Disney Wish is nearing completion and is part of a huge block to be installed on the ship in the building dock. We have all eagerly awaited this moment, as this block will truly give the Disney Wish an identity. We would even go as far as saying that it gives our ship a face!

Bow Installation
All the ships in our fleet have very elegant lines with sleek hulls and long bows, and the Disney Wish will certainly carry on this tradition. As construction of our newest ship is progressing at full speed, another important milestone has been achieved.

Disney Cruise Line Final Payment Extension Update

🛳Beginning, August 4, 2021, a temporary final payment extension was added to Disney Cruise Line sailings through Jan. 31, 2022. As part of this policy, we are temporarily extending final payment until 60 days prior to sailing for Guests booked in unrestricted stateroom categories.

🛳For sailings through January 31, 2022, we are temporarily extending final payment until 60 days prior to sailing for Guests booked in unrestricted stateroom categories. This means that those Guests who have not yet reached their final payment due date can wait until up to 60 days prior to sailing to pay for their cruise vacation. Onboard cruise activities can be scheduled within your Castaway Club booking window once final payment is received.
In addition, we are temporarily relaxing our cruise cancellation fee schedule for sailings through January 31, 2022, will receive sea mail. The policy in full will be on the cruise website.

Disneyland Resort Foodie News: Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose, Goofy’s Kitchen, and More Reopening!

We are excited to announce Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose will again be delighting kids (and adults!) with everyone’s favorite Disney Princesses. We also have more fan-favorite restaurants opening as well!

Explorers and adventurers will be thrilled to know Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar will start taking reservations for lunch AND dinner beginning Aug. 11, with the first reservation date Aug. 15.  We all know it’s a real jungle out there, so be sure to book a reservation!

Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa opens on Aug. 26, with booking available Aug.11.

Ahead of the return to sailing on August 9 on the Disney Dream, Disney Cruise Line is reminding Guests to complete all steps leading up to sailing aboard the ship. These include:
* Pre-Trip COVID-19 Testing
* Embarkation COVID-19 Testing
* Travel Insurance
* COVID-19 Vaccination
* Safe Passage Website/Registration
* Online Check-In
* Transfers from OIA to the Port
Please ensure all Guests who are sailing have completed the steps above prior to embarkation.

More Entertainment Returning Across Walt Disney World Resort This Summer

🌟Starting August 1, we’ll be lighting up the night at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with the return of “Wonderful World of Animation.” This cinematic nighttime experience leverages projection mapping technology to transform the park’s iconic Chinese Theater on a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation.
🌟On August 15, a tale as old as time will return to Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard with “Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage.” The heartwarming tale of Belle and Beast will once again swirl to life in this lush stage performance, with colorful costumes, gorgeous scenery and the songs Guests know and love.
🌟We’re also excited to share that Guests will soon be able to visit those monsters of comedy in Monstropolis and chat with a certain sea turtle at The Seas with Nemo & Friends. Mike Wazowski will begin welcoming humans to the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor at Magic Kingdom Park on August 8. And beginning August 21, Guests can get their most pressing questions answered during Turtle Talk with Crush at EPCOT. Duuuude!
🌟We also recently announced that all-new nighttime spectaculars “Disney Enchantment” and “Harmonious” would be debuting October 1 as part of The World’s Most Magical Celebration. That means this summer is also the last chance to come out and catch the current fireworks shows before they sparkle into Disney history. “EPCOT Forever” will conclude its limited-time run on September 28, and Guests have until September 29 to take in the spectacle of “Happily Ever After” at Magic Kingdom Park.

✨✨On October 1, 1971, Walt Disney World opened to the public for the first time with its first theme park — Magic Kingdom — and before we knew it, it became one of the most popular vacation destinations around the world. And now here we are, almost 50 years later!

✨✨Walt Disney World is bringing the festivities for this major milestone to all four of its theme parks — Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Known as “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” Disney World will begin its anniversary festivities on October 1, 2021 to commemorate exactly 50 years since Magic Kingdom first opened its gates in 1971.

First Look at the Poster for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser at Walt Disney World Resort

🌟Opening in 2022 at Walt Disney World Resort, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will invite Guests into a new kind of “storyliving” as they travel the galaxy in a finely appointed starship. So far, many details about this new experience have been as cryptic as a Bothan spy, so it’s exciting to get another peek at what we have in store. Let’s take a closer look, shall we?
* The Halcyon starcruiser, in the upper-left corner, is home for this two-night adventure. The sleek ship is known for its impeccable service, fabulous entertainment and exquisite dining, all of which Guests will get to enjoy during their vacation. (Side note: Guests can see a model of the ship right now in Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.)
* There are four people at the center of the poster – a youngling wearing Jedi robes and wielding a lightsaber, an adult dressed in the uniform of a First Order officer, a Twi’lek adult, and another youngling who appears to be holding a piece of technology of some sort. These figures are meant to represent Guests, the travelers, because Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is about their choices and how they live their personal Star Wars Do they want to support the First Order? Live like a Jedi in training? Or perhaps become a member of high galactic society? It’s all waiting there for Guests to discover and decide.
* In front of those central figures is an R-series astromech droid – but one that seems to have a few extra bells and whistles. Hmm … we bet there’s a story there, too.
* In the lower left, Guests see passengers enjoying the remarkable cuisine offered in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room, the starcruiser’s enticing supper club. The food and drink certainly seem otherworldly …
* The image in the lower right is something to be incredibly excited for – lightsaber training! That’s right, as part of the experience, Guests will face off with a training remote similar to how Luke Skywalker once did and learn the lightsaber’s ancient ways.
* Looming above all this is the intimidating visage of Kylo Ren. Couple him with those First Order stormtroopers charging into the scene on the left-hand side and … one might have a bad feeling about this. The Halcyon starcruiser does have a storied past, after all, and a reputation for finding itself in the middle of galactic conflicts. Luckily Chewbacca and his trusty bowcaster are there in the upper-right corner. Remember, it’s not wise to upset a Wookiee!
* And don’t miss what’s happening at the very bottom of the poster. There’s something very familiar about those spires – especially to anyone who’s traveled to Batuu. We’ve heard the Halcyon starcruiser is adding that far-flung planet to its itinerary starting next year …
