With 6,500 year-round residents, plus another 3,500 part-time residents, Avon offers a small mountain town atmosphere with many amenities. The town serves as a gateway to the Beaver Creek Ski Resort and features world-class hotels, restaurants and shopping as well as multitude of recreational opportunities, special events, parks, open space and trails.

🚀 The Community Grant Program Application is open for one more week! 🚀

The Town welcomes applications from non-profit organizations that provide programs and services in the areas of arts, culture, education, environment, health, heritage, housing, human services, Latino outreach, and recreation.

Avon has identified housing, food insecurity and childcare as the top three needs to address through 2025 Community Grant Program funding. The overall intent of this program is to provide financial support to programs and services that benefit the Avon community which are not otherwise provided.

⚠️The Swift Gulch Road Improvements and Asphalt Overlay Project is scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 3 and will continue for approximately six weeks.

The project will repair the roadway between the Avon Regional Transportation Facility and the east end of the Buffalo Ridge Apartments complex.

The project consists of asphalt milling and repair, curb and gutter construction, guardrail improvements, asphalt overlay, shoulder grading and pavement marking. ⚠️

❤️ Nomination petitions for 3 openings on the Avon Town Council are available at the Town Clerk’s Office at Avon Town Hall.

❤️ The deadline for filing the petitions with the Avon Town Clerk is Monday, August 26, by 5 PM.

❤️ Candidate information packets, including the nomination petitions, may be picked up between 8 AM and 5 PM Monday through Friday.

❤️A minimum of 10 valid signatures from registered voters in the Town of Avon are required on the petition in order to appear on the ballot.

If the smoke wasn't reminder enough, fire danger in the Eagle Valley has increased to HIGH. Please take extra precautions!

🔥 HIGH Fire Danger in Eagle Valley 🔥

Attention, residents and visitors of Eagle Valley! The fire danger level has escalated to HIGH. This means that fires can start easily from most causes, and small fuels (such as grasses and needles) will ignite readily. Unattended campfires and brush fires are likely to escape. Fires will spread easily, with rapid rates of spread possible under adverse weather conditions.

Please be vigilant and responsible. Although no fire restrictions are currently in place, we urge everyone to exercise caution and adhere to the following guidelines:

Extinguish all fires completely: Make sure your campfire is fully extinguished before leaving. Douse it with water, stir the ashes and douse again, repeating until cool.
Dispose of ci******es responsibly: Do not discard cigarette butts from moving vehicles or without fully extinguishing them first.
Report any signs of fire immediately: If you spot a fire or a column of smoke, report it to local authorities right away.
Remember, it’s up to all of us to keep Eagle Valley safe and beautiful! 🌲🏞️🦅
