Hello Ferry Tail fans. Unfortunately, after several years of tremendous startup efforts/costs, and almost a year of intensive advertising, our business has not been the success that we had hoped, and we will be closing it this week. We truly regret that Ferry Tail will not able to help pass sellers find their buyers. We tried our very best to be of service to the community. However, we still own the website code and the pending patent for the business concept should anyone want to make a purchase offer. Best, the entire team at Ferry Tail.

Great news for commuters! Ferry Tail has two new passenger (not vehicle) passes between Bainbridge and Seattle. One expires on the 13th and has 3 uses and the other expires on the 18th and has five uses left. Grab them before they disappear :-)

Here's a tip: who's heading from Anacortes to Friday Harbor? We have two passes available, each good for one passenger (not vehicle) round trip. Why pay $13.25 to the WSDOT when you can buy one from Ferry Tail for only $10.08 (or $9.07 on their expiration date 12/21/16). Save your money!

Black Friday is showing brisk sales for Ferry Tail. We just sold out of passes between Kingston and Edmonds. There is clearly a lot of traveling going on around the Sound. Enjoy the season and save money!

Hello Ferry Tail buyers/sellers! We have some excellent passes available for sale today. We have two passes from Anacortes to Friday Harbor, each with one ride (round trip) on them, and they expire December 21st. Why pay full price when you can buy them for LESS than you would if you bought a 5-ride multi-pass? We also have a 4 ride pass from Edmonds to Kingston that doesn't expire until January. Grab them before someone else does!

Wow...we have a bunch of passes currently available, including 3 on Vashon (6-7 rides each) and 3 on Bainbridge (12-20 rides each). Passes are now listed for 75% off the current walk up price, which is LESS than the price for the WSDOT 20 ride multi-use Wave2Go pass. Its a no-brainer revolution! Save $ and spread the word ;-)

FerryTail.com fans...it's Fall which means prices are back to normal. Gone are the crazy high summer fares. Sell your unused pass! And you will now pay LESS for each pass thru us than you will for a 20 ride discount multi-use pass thru the WSDOT. Why buy in bulk if you don't have to? Look to see if anyone is selling a few rides on your route!

Ferry travel is getting significantly less expensive for you weary travelers. You suggested it, so we dropped all prices by 10%. And WSDOT prices will drop 20% on October 1st down to winter fares, as will Ferry Tail prices.

Here is an approximate example for a Seattle-Bainbridge U22' vehicle:

WSDOT summer walk up cost: $18.20
WSDOT winter walk up cost: $14.55
FerryTail.com winter cost: $11.10 (70% plus tax)
FerryTail.com winter cost on date of pass expiration: $10

So list your expiring passes, buy your ferry passes, and please spread the word!

Hello FerryTail.com fans. Ferry travel doesn't have to be expensive. You spoke and we listened. You want to pay even less for your passes, so we made it happen. Sellers will now be reimbursed 50% of their investment, and buyers will now pay only 70% of the current WSDOT ferry fare, plus tax - that is LESS than the cost for 20 ride multi-use pass. And you only buy what you need. Please share the news with your friends!

Hello Ferry Tail fans. We've heard from many of you suggesting alternative pricing structures, so that buyers might pay even less for the passes. We have heard you, and are planning to incorporate your suggestions. Starting next week, sellers will get back 50% of their investment, while buyers will pay only 70% of the walk up ticket cost (plus Washington state tax). We are here to make this work for YOU! Please share this new structure with all of your friends!

We are now open for all routes! And here's a fun fact: passes on same priced, same type (one-way or round-trip) routes are interchangeable. Who knew? So if you cannot find a pass on your chosen route, you can always search for and use a pass on a same priced route. The following same priced routes are grouped to show which are interchangeable:
