This time last year I was roaming and enjoying the streets of Cartagena, Colombia 🇨🇴.
One of the questions that I’ve been asked continuously as a frequent traveler is “Why?”
• “Why do you travel so much?”
• “Why don’t you sit still?”
• “Why would you rather be elsewhere the majority of your time?”
Yea, there are plenty who are “doin it for the gram” and the “likes”.
But, some of us are actually traveling to learn, to teach, to connect, and to inspire others to do the same.
As Black men traveling, our list of “Why’s?” run long and detailed.
•We travel to be embraced instead of chased.
•We travel to meet others who are intrigued by our story and not intimidated by our stature.
•We travel to prove to the world that the images portrayed are as false as the history we’ve also unfortunately been taught about ourselves.
With the current state of affairs, many of us would be ready to board a flight and “escape” immediately.
Unfortunately a global pandemic is holding us back, but nothing will stop us from continuing to show the world just who we are.
Stay up KINGS! ✊🏾👑
