On Thursday we wanted to review the techniques we've covered so far and maybe learn a few more. We put some examples up on the projector and .vicky & .8reasons._ pointed out the techniques they recognized. Then, we played to see what we could remember about composition... and to see who knew the most about super heroes... and to see who could identify sports logos the fastest.

P.S. We have fundraising campaign going on right now. Go Check It Out http://gofundme.com/viewfinders

On Wednesday, I took a table-sized sheet of polytab, oil pastels, and color pencils to Families in Recovery downtown for a Digital Storytelling workshop. Six of us sketched, doodled, and brainstormed ideas for a short film. After school, the Viewfinders continued composition studies with a photo-walk up Ashland (But mostly tossed around the football...over traffic 😑) We came back in to review the photos (But mostly watched music videos on YouTube/made random art pieces with paper, gold bells, and hot glue). We printed some out and pinned them to the rolling wall downstairs in the hall at MICA PLACE. Whenever I bump into one of the Viewfinders in the hall I'll try to have a 30 second conversation at the wall about the images....we'll see how it goes.
PS. We have a fundraising campaign going on right now. You can see what that's all about here: http://gofundme.com/viewfinders

Have you seen our recent murals around East Baltimore and wanted one on your house or business? We are looking for one more location for a mural of our student Messiah and his hero Jackie Robinson. The wall must be in good condition, located in East Baltimore, have at least 6' x 5.5' of unobstructed space available, and cannot be formstone. The mural will be of NO COST to you, with permission given by the property owner. Below are some examples of other murals we have worked on, as well as what the image will be. Get in touch if you are interested!
