Celebrate State Parks Day June 1!

Day-use parking fees will be waived at the 25 locations that charge them as well as camping fees for all tent, RV and horse campsites. Visit https://bit.ly/3KmGRVu for special events planned this Saturday.

Day-use parking fees also are waived June 2 to support Free Fishing Days offered by Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

JET BOAT RACING ON THE COQUILLE RIVER!

On Monday May 6, 2024, the Southern Oregon Power Boat Association will be bringing jet boat racing to the Coquille River! The event is scheduled to take place between 10 AM and 4 PM. Approximately 30 racers will be going from the Bandon Harbor to Sturdivant Park, and back, twice over the course of the day. The finish line at Sturdivant will be in the proximity of the city's courtesy dock, and boats will be taking out and putting back in between each race leg. The city will be closing the boat ramp, front parking lot, and courtesy dock on May 6th until the event is over to all but race personnel, law enforcement, and medical support. We will be allowing vehicles through the front lot, but will likely be stopping traffic in and out of the park for brief periods while racers are taking out and putting back in, for safety and expediency. We think Sturdivant Park could be a great place to watch the race and encourage people to come out for this first-time event! If you do, please park on the pavement, since the ground may still be soft

I’m excited to share the fun news! Bandon Dunes Golf Resort is celebrating 25 years and they have entrusted me to host an Artisan Market and welcome the community during their 25th anniversary event! There will be food trucks, drinks, amazing vendors, live music, and COMMUNITY.

The vendors will range from holistic - wellness - golf - pnw made - high quality artistry - baked goods - desserts - and all things coastal inspired.

We can’t wait to welcome all of you! 4-8pm, May 3rd, at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. There will be fun additions for the community too {Free golf lessons with a PGA professional}. Mark your calendars and come find out what it’s all about.
