Absolute heavy heart yesterday, and today.
Scott has built this business, a close freind, business supplier, this is the place I have relied on for years to produce our product. Did I lose some stuff? Yeup, all of it. Do I care? Not really. My loss pales in the comparison of Hardrock Granites loss. Patty Meade drafting, Dave Parker, P&G sandblast....
Scott is a giver, not a taker. He finished out this year, best ever. Me? I moved in in October.
Gone in a flash. What's next? Who knows.
First focus will be, what does Scott need, what can be done, first and foremost, to re build what was lost. But furthermore to support his family, his employees.
So beside myself, going down with the boys this morning to assess damage.
Long hard road ahead.
Keep Scotty, his employees, and his family in your prayers.

12 ftx2 ft× 1foot 8 inches.
Nice to use a slab Turner, and EVERYONE at the shop took a hand at the 12 lb. Sledge hammer, as well as holding the Bullset.

Proud to be the one trusted to re produce this old world monument that was destroyed by being hit by a car. The process took longer than I had expected, but thanks to the help of Memorial Sandblast and more than 30 hours of sawing, tooling, and carving by yours truly.
I am proud to say, she's done!
If ever you need a monument duplicated, call on me. It's what I do.

Today was a good day.
I taught (over the past few weeks) a young man how to cut stone.
He did great! I felt great! We all will benefit from his desire to learn the trade!

EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY! Re make of this old world monument. Dealer showed up today and said, the family name didn't look that good before.... thank you sir! I consider that a compliment. Big crudos to Memorial Sandblast and their experienced exportative expertise. I could not do what I do, re making old world monuments without you!

I wished this could be a better post.
First few pics, NOT MY WORK., Nor how I would do these scallop rock borders. Someone along the line thought they could do it, gave up, and sent it to me. Last pic was the outcome.

A work in progress... it's not the piece itself, nor the work we do to it that's stressful. Its handling it, turning it. The more it progresses, the more is at stake!
