✨This Thanksgiving I am feeling extra grateful for the journey this last year has brought me on. Not because of the record success we’ve had (thanks to all of you!), or the incredible trips we’ve been on, or all of the highlights you’ve seen on our Instagram reel.
No, today I am extra thankful for the journey of growth. This past year - while full of blessings beyond any measure - was also full of the incredible challenges of business ownership. I learned (and am still learning) so many lessons. Lessons on entrepreneurship, growth and scaling, building (and managing) teams, time management, leadership, patience, protecting and prioritizing my time, and searching for “my people” who are willing and able to share in this chaotic journey with me (looking at you !). But most importantly, I’m learning to have the confidence to step fully into the vision of this company I have painstakingly built without any apologies or concessions. 🌱
Despite the incredible sales numbers we’ve seen this year, I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you I went to bed most nights exhausted, drained, and falling asleep at my computer. Many panic attacks and teary breakdowns have occurred trying to juggle the competing priorities of being mom, wife, CEO, sales team, committed travel designer, daughter, aunt, boss, friend, HR department, good human, etc etc etc.
But through it all I’ve discovered so much strength and fight within me. I’m learning and adopting new ideas, techniques, thoughts, and processes thanks to the ever growing and amazing network of fellow entrepreneurs in my life. I don’t know if I’d even recognize the me from one year ago anymore.
As I attempt to embrace this up and down journey of growth and development, I still wake up each day pinching myself that so many of you make an active choice and decision to trust O&A with your time and memories. I am humbled by your decision, honored to be a part of your memories, and eternally grateful for your support.
