Today was an emotional day-the last tour of the 2024 season. But how cool that I got to spend it with a very nautical couple-she worked on ore ships and he was in the Navy! No pictures, but they were also celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary!! Being apart of celebrations is just one of the many perks of this business.

The season was blessed with so many wonderful customers, awe-inspiring scenery, and great local business partnerships! So much gratitude for all!!

The 2025 is open for booking! Please consider adding a boat tour to your Bayfield/Apostle Islands visit!

Today's Wild Pursuits Boat Charter trip to Devil's Island with these two wonderful people from Maryland was filled with 🌞, amazing scenery, great views of the shipwrecks, and a very unique experience at Devil's with several eagles flying around us and perched in the trees. Simply stunning!

The Wild Pursuits Boat Charter tour today included a "reunion of deckhands" as my dear friend Barb was in town, many eagle sightings, amazing weather, a great crew from Seattle, beautiful scenery, and a rescue of another boat that was stuck on the Fedora shipwreck.

I am so grateful for the Wild Pursuits Boat Charter opportunity today to meet Andy Kaknevicius who is creating a documentary series entitled, "The Lake Superior Circle Tour ". It's purpose is to encourage people to "step off the highway and truly experience Lake Superior ". I can't wait to see the final product and am truly honored to be included in this educational platform for the Apostle Islands! I learned a lot from him, including this ceremony at Devil's Island! Interesting to note, that right after this, an eagle flew over us!

Today's Wild Pursuits Boat Charter tour included an otter sighting, shipwrecks, racing sailboats, and a delicious Snackle-box for this new to the area couple! They also played boat bingo and won the Clipper Brewing Company gift certificate!! Thank you Tom for your donation!

In hockey terms, today's Wild Pursuits Boat Charter tours were a "hat-trick"! 1st one was joined by my Co-Captain in life, Mike Nelson, who ventured out to Stockton Island with me to pickup 2 campers. A bit windy, but an adventure and such sweet ladies!! 2nd trip included a nice couple and their fur baby! 3rd trip was a sunset tour that was an anniversary celebration! Amazing day on the water and so grateful for the opportunity to do what I love ❤️!

Wild Pursuits Boat Charter tour was to Stockton Island this morning to drop off these two ladies who have completed many adventures together and are now adding the Apostle Islands to their list!! Plus they played boat bingo and won a gift certificate to Apostle 22! Great start to their trip!!

While on Otter Island last week, this unique creature, which I learned is a Pine Marten, was checking out the walking trail. I Iearn something new everytime I am out on the lake or on the islands! Love it!!!

GRATEFUL, THANKFUL, and BLESSED are words that describe how it feels to receive such a kind and thoughtful review such as the one that was just posted from last week's shipwreck tour guests:

"My wife and I had the great pleasure of boating with Captain Sue in August, 2024 on her two hour cruise of shipwrecks. As a social studies teacher with a great interest in the Great Lakes shipwrecks, I had high expectations for the tour, and I was not disappointed.

Without giving away Captain Sue's special wreck viewing stop (no spoilers in this review), the three other wreck viewings were spectacular. Using a magnifying bucket, we were able to see the remains of the wrecks clearly. Aided by the spectacular weather we had during the cruise, Captain's Sue narration, which was clear, thorough, informative, and entertaining. In addition, she included a quick side trip to see a sea cave so that my wife and I could see in the cave and get some nice pictures.

As if the tour itself and Captain Sue's narration and discussion were not enough, we purchased the Snacklebox, which was so ample that we needed two meals to finish it. We chose not to eat the Snacklebox while on board ship due to her outstanding narration and discussion and our desire to take pictures and film videos.

Captain Sue's relationships and standing with other members of the Bayfield community were clearly visible in all that she did and said, and my only regret was that the tour was only slightly more than two hours in length.

In conclusion, we enjoyed our tour with Captain Sue immensely and cannot recommend our voyage on her ship highly enough. If you go to Bayfield, make sure to include her tour of the shipwrecks before you leave town!"
