Our fishing charters specialize in inshore light tackle and fly fishing in the waters surrounding Beaufort, Bluffton, and Hilton Head, SC. Year around, our charter fishing trips are perfect for up to two anglers looking to fish for red fish (red drum) in creeks, shallow oyster flats, and flood tide grass flats. Seasonally, these trips can also include hunting for sea trout, flounder, cobia, jack c

revalle, triple tail, and tarpon. Green Heron Adventures is a full time, licensed and insured charter fishing service owned and operated by Captain Rob Alexander. We welcome all levels of fishing experience and look forward to fishing with you.

Red fish are cool! The bite has been hit and miss lately but today was one for the books on fly and light tackle.

It’s cobia season!

Sight fishing a cobia typically requires a lot of searching and if we’re being honest they often don’t show up but when it comes together all that work to get one makes the success that much sweeter.

Congrats on ‘s five year anniversary!

When we met, was a schoolteacher and I was in the Marines, but she had a dream of starting yoga studio and I wanted to guide. It’s been a wild ride building our dreams together. Seeing her figure out how to start and build her studio from a teacher’s salary and then watching her fight to survive through Covid is inspiring to me.

A full circle story right here! Through college, one of my jobs was landscaping for Brooks and Carrol. When I graduated and commissioned in the Marines, Brooks gave me my first fly rod and encouraged me to add fly fishing to my outdoor pursuits. I learned to cast with that rod and caught my first red fish on the fly on it. 13 years later I got to reconnect with Brooks and pole him around the flats.

My annual Rocky Mountain fix.

We had a couple close elk encounters, but we can’t seem to break our six year streak of only getting elk on even years. However, the wild raspberries, currants, and grouse were abundant and a nice addition to backpacker meals.
