The space
The Farmhouse is a two story duplex apartment. It is located within the Gambrel section of the house that originally was a barn! Due to structural compromises, we had to take this home to the exterior walls and completely renovate the space. 90% of the interior is new, and beautifully done. The first floor is made up of the porch that leads into the mudroom. The mudroom is spacious for catching luggage, layers, and anything that follows you through the door on your vacation. It has a coat closet with cedar interior shelving, and a slate tiled floor. The mudroom leads into the open concept living space made up of the dining, kitchen and living room area. The kitchen has beautiful finishes such as granite counter tops, hand glazed tile backslash, 10' hand planed Poplar top island, and all new stainless appliances. The living room is full of comfortable seating options, a desk, and a 65" flat screen television. There is a pantry off the kitchen, and a first floor bathroom with laundry and a custom tiled shower with a soaking tub. The second floor is where you will find a linen closet, the second bath with custom tiled shower with glass door, and 3 bedrooms. Each bedroom had a queen bed, closet and bureau. The home is furnished with brand new, antique and locally made furnishings and artwork. Guest access
Guests have this spacious interior for dwelling and also have access to their yard on the west side of the house. This is a duplex apartment that shares insulated walls with another apartment, so awareness and consideration of noise levels is a must. Interaction with guests
We live on the property and we both have a businesses in Belfast. We are very easily accessible for our guests needs. The neighborhood
We have the wonderful convenience of being in Belfast, 5 min drive to downtown, with the feel of out of town living. We are less 1/2 a mile from the grocery store, and we have a YMCA next door for workouts. Belfast is our states Jewel of the coast and centrally located to many of your Maine destinations. Getting around
We have onsite parking for your vehicle. There is an Enterprise rent a car less than 1/2 a mile from the farmhouse as well. Our town does have a cab service too. Other things to note
