Meet Your Hosts, Darrin and Holly :

We started visiting the North Georgia Mountains many years ago as avid motorcycle riders. Every year, we went on a new adventure, with Blairsville as our home base.

In 2013, we purchased the cabin, as we found ourselves visiting the area more and more and more throughout the year.

We've shared "Our Happy Place" with many family and friends, and tons of memories have been created. We've made lifelong friends of local business owners and residents alike.

Although we still enjoy the area on two wheels, we've recently added touring the area in our Jeep Wrangler, "Shorty", and we don't see stopping any time soon!

You won't find a more wholesome area to enjoy and relax - we are thrilled to share it with you!

“I don’t like either the word or the thing. People ought to saunter in the mountains, not hike! Do you know the origin of that word, ‘saunter?’ It’s a beautiful word. Way back in the Middle Ages people used to go on pilgrimages to the Holy Land, and when people in the villages through which they passed asked where they were going, they would reply, ‘A la sainte terre,’ or ‘To the Holy Land.’ And so they became known as sainte-terre-ers, or saunterers. Now these mountains are our Holy Land, and we ought to saunter through them reverently, not ‘hike’ through them.”

We are overwhelmed at the outpouring of support! We have owned our vacation cabin, "Our Happy Place", for over 8 years, but are just now opening it to vacation rental service. We are overjoyed to share it, and for it to become "YOUR Happy Place".

The cabin is in Blairsville, GA, and is a 2/2 plus loft space with a twin over double futon. Sleeps 7.

Stay tuned, we should be open for booking July 1st!
